Windows 10

Only list I could find has:

  • Atom Z2760
  • Atom Z2520
  • Atom Z2560
  • Atom Z2580
But I think also some of the older N series as well aren't supported.

Ok I have a very annoying problem.

A couple of months ago I bought a UK QWERTY keyboard for my son to learn to touchtype, I live in Belgium and all my laptops are Belgian AZERTY. Unfortunately each time I move from one PC to the other I have to change the input settings as it defaults to the last setting I used.

I've searched the net but cannot find a solution so that the QWERTY PC stays with the QWERTY keyboard choice and the AZERTY with the AZERTY choice.

I know it's windows + space to change but it's a pain to have to remember it each time i log on to the PC/Laptop.

Anyone have any ideas?

I guess you're using Microsoft account with sync settings on?? Dunno if Settings>Account>Sync settings>Language preferences would make any difference?

If not, you'd probably have to turn off settings sync altogether or switch one of them to a local account.

YES!!!!

That's it you have fixed the problem Marc...

cheers!

It's been bugging me for ages.

POS Microsoft!! What is the point in giving you options like defer feature updates when it installs the Creators update anyway? My PC downloaded and installed that this morning which then undid everything I had changed and I have just spent the last hour and a half putting things back as I want it. It changed my sound settings from my soundcard to the monitor yet again as well. I hate this lack of choice with windows 10.

The same certain individuals on this very forum who tell you how great Windows 10 really is and why forced updates are good for us all?

I like the way the metered connection setting has been changed and the description now says:

"Available updates will be downloaded and installed automatically, except over metered connections (where charges may apply).
In that case, we'll automatically download only those updates required to keep Windows running smoothly."

In my experience it still downloads about 70% of the available updates despite MS claiming they've put the functionality in just in case of critical fixes in the future :s which is of no use to people who are actually on bandwidth limits and need to manage their usage :s as above an OS should be about enabling the user not trying to dictate in what way and how they are working and taking choice away from the user.

Doing a fresh install of 10 this week on a new build. Any guides on things I should do once setup?

It's going on a NVME drive

Does the W10 os on the creation tool come with the creators update in?

Need to re install OS so may as well give W10 another try..........

Can't remember the exact date but the "fall creators update" is out later this month. The current version is the "creators update" which came out in March. I'd leave it a few weeks if you can.

edit: just repeating from 2 posts up - you should have read that really. :p

The creation tool is version specific, so the current version of the tool that you can download will download the version of windows 10 that goes to the creators update but you should wait until the fall creators update has gone live before you get the tool as that version will download the version with the fall creators update.

starts rolling out on the 17th, so hopefully be an iso on that day, but like last time staggered roll out, so if left to just update automatically you could be waiting a few months.

If you disable insiders and re-enable it you will see a new option and this top option of three drop down menu choices will give you fall update as of Friday 13th Oct.

Build will be 16299.19
