I saw the comments on HUKD's is this the full disc version or download or even an upgrade. Seems to be some confusion.
Windows 8 Pro, Upgrade Edition [Upgrade from Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7] (PC)
You're looking at wrong store.I don't know where some inforamation comes from but the place I saw the £49.50 price described the product as
So is not a complete edition but merely an upgrade.
There is not, so far as I can find at least, a complete edition being sold apart from the OEM version which will be licenced for us home builders to use.
You're looking at wrong store.
Think big crap over priced store.
I don't know what the confusion is about
But most people will have xp or w7 so you might as well get the upgrade which has been confirmed at 24.99.
Thanks... though the pre-order offer for £49.99 (on DVD ROM) appears to be Windows 8 Pro, Upgrade Edition, and not the full version unfortunately.!

That has to be wrong as there is no retail full version, .
That has to be wrong as there is no retail full version, I reckon it is the boxed upgrade version the same as the rainforest place is advertising.
You won't find the 25 one in a store. That's download available on release day

The 50 one in the store is the full version, not the upgrade.
Kicks up a similar error, I think its windows which has the fault. will reinstallDon't have the game, but have you tried running the DirectX Redistributable?
25 for one day only or longer ?
Kicks up a similar error, I think its windows which has the fault. will reinstall
this doesn't look like the case any more, as they have released box art work for retail.
And looks like retail will be $70 in the offer which would be bang on the mark for £49.99
Yes for the upgrade.
The Verge, quoting "one source familiar with Microsoft's plans", is reporting that full retail Windows 8 Pro will be on sale for $69.99 through January 31, 2013. Starting February 1, 2013, Windows 8 Pro full retail will jump to its regular price of $199. What is important to note here is that the $69.99 Windows 8 Pro is a full retail version meaning you can install it on any computer that can run it -- it is not an upgrade version of Windows 8 Pro.
All the news stories are saying retail
upgrade does not cost $200 which is the after sale price
