From 23rd to approx. 3rd March the average projected temperature where I live is -3.3C with a possible minimum of -10.5C.

*runs out to buy gloves*

EDIT: Looks fun

Again still a way off but some of the models are increasingly going towards extreme cold at the moment.

Buzz on the TWO:

Putting all of the above together I would say the latest data continues to suggest a high likelihood of a notable spell of wintry weather. The chance of it being a historic record breaker has reduced somewhat but it's still not out of the question.

75cm :p:p:p;) yeah right

Heh - the only thing I've seen close to that is a possible disruption of the pattern mid way through the cold patch which could see a concentrated stream into the North East of England which could see significant snowfall over high ground. Snowfall largely is still um up in the air with most of the models still unable to account for it and/or just coming up dry.

Ah the tantalising before the verification :s and even then its guaranteed to be every part of the country except where I live :(

EDIT: Saying that there is pretty good consensus between the models tonight so that is something.

EDIT2: Oh wow they really are talking about potentially 75cm of snow for select parts of the North East of England.

If this all becomes unstuck over the next week there will be some bitterly disappointed people on the weather forums.

Just looking at Wxcharts' forecast - on Wednesday through to Friday of next week the entire country is covered by a huge purple splodge - basically some pretty heavy snow for everyone.

I really don't want to get excited and then come Wednesday have it all break down :s
