Woke this morning to see that extra snow overnight has blocked the cat flap.

I opened the front door for him and he put 1 paw down on the snow before changing his mind and coming back in

Damn, was hoping work would be closed, but they rung me to say I can work at a local branch (walking distance) or take it as holiday... Holiday it is I guess.

There's a foot of snow outside my front door and at least twice that where it's drifted against my fence. Nobody is driving anywhere here but at least I can work from home

Took me 2 hours to dig my car out so I could get it up the hill.

Dig a bit, drive a bit, rinse and repeat, my arms are aching now but thankfully my car is safely outside my house.

Can’t trust leaving it at the bottom with how many poor drivers there are around.

Feel sorry for all in Birmingham who left work late and jumped onto the Hagley Road last night. Took us 3 hours to get home due to cars getting stuck.

Never been so disgusted with the general populous in my life. We finally got to the incline where cars where getting stuck and not one person was helping them move. Got out to push a few cars and must have guilt tripped a few other drivers into helping me. Was there for a good 45 minutes pushing each consecutive car (literally all rear wheel BMW's and Audis).

I stopped bothering to push cars years ago when I got out to help a BMW driver up a bank he'd been struggling on for a few minutes and was told to "**** off" as apparently, I was going to scratch his paintwork with the gloves I had on.

Hah I've had the opposite in a way - asked someone if they needed a hand and they were "Isn't it obvious duh!" kind of response

I've no doubt there where some ungrateful swine, but for every 4 cars we pushed 3 honked as they drove off. It gets to the point where it doesn't matter what they think, they're literally holding up an hours worth of traffic and HAVE to be moved.

Drivers in Brum are a nuisance at the best of times - I left work at 6pm and it felt like the council hadn't gritted any of the roads on my way home (around Chester Road & Kingsbury Road).

I got to a single lane give way and got stuck, the guy on the other side flashed me a few times to give me way but I was going sideways more than forward - despite seeing me at a 45 degree angle and obviously struggling to get moving, the chap decided to roll his window down after I finally got going (he was probably there no more than a minute) and start shouting abuse

Gotta love Birmingham sometimes.

Went out for a walk this morning at about 7:30. Roads through the estate are most definitely 4x4 only and the majority of main routes around town are the same unless you restrict yourself to level ground. It's more of a case of needing ground clearance as well as traction on most roads here at the moment. Took a walk out to the A48 (main route between Gloucester and Chepstow) again would only recommend use in a 4x4 currently, possible in a car with winter tyres maybe, but you've got to get there first.

Oh, and it's snowing again now.

No work for me again at royal mail, got sent home, the only mail in the office is the stuff that never got finished from three days ago and the roads are a no go.

Probably be like that until Monday i would think.
