Winter 2020/2021

Had the start of a heavy snow fall about and hour ago but as all things it soon slowed down - It's still snowing but lightly but it's sticking to the road.
I hope the Amazon driver doesn't chicken out.

Snow in Northern Sweden

These pictures really don't do it justice.

Its about 50CM deeper now. Our garden seems to catch all the drifting snow. Which adds to the depth. I "waded" down to the shed earlier and it was almost upto my waist in parts, im 6 foot 6" lol

just looked now at 10:15, still showing heavy snow in SO18. Sorry for the big pic, imgur seems to have changed the way they images work, they dont seem to have options to copy the img in different sizes anymore.

Yeah same here its not cold enough for snow its 0c here it'll be warmer by morning it needs to below freezing in my experience or it'll just fall as sleet/slushy rain. I doubt it'll ever snow here again that'll be the second winter in a row now without so much as a flake.

Meh Arpege showing it as mostly missing where I am and it has usually been correct. BBC still showing heavy snow. Some places should get a decent amount in the early hours though.

BBC feeling optimistic and have gradually been increasing the duration of snow for tomorrow, now forecast for 8am-8pm in London. :eek:

Actually snowing heavily, like really heavily now. But at 5am can't see much or do anything really LOL.

Already a couple of inches and it has only been snowing a few minutes.

EDIT: 2 inches is a bit of an exaggeration - some surfaces are around that (the road and tops of cars) but more generally more like 2-3cm.

was so loud that I thought a plane had gone down or something, just one enormous bang and that was it!

Don't think it is raining but it is already starting to look a bit woeful - around 6 it was like the depth of winter kind of covering especially the way it was clumped on the fir trees.

It was the loudest thunder I think I've ever heard.

A strike briefly showed up on lightning maps by the M271 but it's not showing when I look now.

Sadly already starting to melt but we had a fairly decent covering - around 5am it was a fair bit thicker than that.
