Hoping for plenty of cloud cover and rain to full the reservoirs up, but not cold so the heating can stay off.

Probably minus 10 though and dry as a bone

This. Usually I like a nice crisp and cold winter, but this year I'm hoping it stays relatively mild, otherwise thousands are really going to struggle.

Me too! Seriously though if it does snow, I hope it's really heavy covering everything, then it can bugger off till next winter lol

Cold, if the current indications are anything to do by. It's been damn chilly the past dew nights.

Not that I'm complaining, I love it. Best time of year, the next six months.

Mild and windy like now

I think it will be bad, as it's supposed to be. Mild spring, roasting hot summer, wet autumn, armaggeddon winter.

When I used to do fell walking so did I, few people, clear skies and hard frost. Now I've sold the axe and crampons, I prefer it a bit soggier.

Give me spring/summer any day! Hate this time of year with the dark evenings and the forthcoming endless storms :(

Nearly bored of summer now, looking forward to winter. Not however looking forward to paying £1/l for my heating oil...
It was mentioned we will be getting £100 oil allowance on top of the elec but that it's not finalised yet ( on local BBC TV news )

Hope we have a massive dump of snow this year because, well, it's snow!!! and secondly, it'll provide a nice insulating blanket to the house.
