Do you not leave a few top windows cracked open to ventilate the place when you're not home?Yes £50 isn't too bad. The one I posted has wifi so I was thinking I would be able to switch it on from my phone on the way home from work or set a schdule for the morning etc ???
Blimey, I use that in one day. Do you ever have your CH on?Well I just looked at my account and during the last 7 days during this cold snap I used 166.39kwh / £19.30 in gas (which includes standing charge 28.5p and daily shower), so would it be worthwhile me spending money on a 2500w oil heater at 33p per kwh to run?

That is the central heating cost (incl daily shower) - I just put it on and turn it off as and when neededBlimey, I use that in one day. Do you ever have your CH on?
Well I did say not multipleHeating a single room you may be right, but central heating heats an entire house, a 2kw device doesn't.
So weather started warming up here about 4 hours ago, 4C rise in that time.

No, somebody using £19 in gas over a week long cold snap is definitely the outlier.I think you'll find you're the outlier given you run your heating at around 22oC which is unbelievably hot for a house.

Its amazing, this forum is full of people who use no gas. You are all well below the average in this country. You are the outliers.I just checked my meter reading right now. I've used £38 in 18 days or £2/day (start of Dec)... I didn't remember the reading from 7-10 days ago.
