downstairs or upstairs? is that wall next to a bathroom/toilet?

Checked for any leaks in pipes outside?
Looked outside now, its downstairs, and should be no pipe there, its opposite end to kitchen/bathroom.

Outside looks like nothing obvious, ground around it is no puddles or anything.

Someone is been sent after Christmas.

I have wiped the skirting after taking photo/video of it and is no new water now at least.

Woohoo back down to 5C next week, fun!

It is all over the place at the moment - last night there was a change with the models mostly showing a defined drop from now to the 21st, blip upwards on the 23rd and then a defined dip through to the 30th before rising again - but now everything after the 26th is erratic with a huge range of possible outcomes.

What does this even mean?

Clearly if you're spending £90-100 on energy in one week there is still a lot you can do to reduce consumption and improve the thermal properties of your home. It may just take a good number of years to payback (or longer depending on what it is) but that will be accelerated by the current high prices (which aren't expected to drop much within a 5 year period).

I completely disagree. You can't just make a blanket statement that anyone spending £90-100 a week has not already done quite a bit to combat energy costs. Some households don't just have 2 people living there. There are large families with multiple children in a lot of houses. When every light in your house is LED, you use smart plugs everywhere on schedules, minimize and strategize washing/dishwashing/heating usage etc etc.... there really does come a point where you can't realistically chase much more of a reduction without it becoming an obsession that is unlikely to yield much of a difference if you want to maintain a fairly normal standard of living.

obviously have no idea of poverty, or state of housing stock in the UK (worst in europe) - 80s house is 3x more leaky than 2010's

-------
N Cambridgeshire impacted by leaks after the great thaw ... no water for 8 hours today and, mission creep on fix time 10pm , 2am ..... guess the numeric sequence.
