Typical... I'd delayed a week off from Jan to next week, hoping for some nicer weather to go cycling in...Possible snow next week looking abit cold and wet?
Forecast is all over the place next week, but it seems the coldest days have been pushed back slightly from the weekend. Could be our last blast of winter. Feb was our lowest heating bill of the winter, so we’ll see what March brings.
Lovely cold snap, hope summer is not too hot either
One more cold spell to go then you lot can head over to the it’s too hot thread.
Besides hm soup is nicer, Did a cauliflower, parsnip and carrot soup today. Cost of making it and ingredients is about 40p - including the leccy of using the soup maker cost of about 8p. Added water, a teaspoon of ginger and a clove of garlic. Used frozen cauliflower as at work some packs had no date printed on the pack. Date is on the outer case but not allowed to sell to customers. Used a quarter of bag.
Plus can use veg that is on the turn - yellowing broc, bendy carrots etc and turns out fine.
There is a food sub forum. The Michelin star rated restaurant connoissuers will love you in there.Get the elderly at work who panic when snow is in the forecast and clear the tins of soup section. What's this all about?
Don't people have store cupboards any more?

God I get so bored with all this home made soup preaching crap. The fact is, prepared soup is long lasting, cheap, tasty and less hassle. It’s also far easier for the elderly to make.Get the elderly at work who panic when snow is in the forecast and clear the tins of soup section. What's this all about?
