It's throwing it down with rain here and we have had two on/off power cuts which means I have had to go out in rain to the shed and turn power off -wait 30 sec then put it on so my outside lights will turn off.
The sensors are quick on/off to turn lights on for as long as you like or on/off with 30 sec gap to revert to PIR lights so left them turned off for tonight..

ps:- forcast thundery showers tonight

The amount of people who go out when it’s forecasts rain then spend over an hour sheltering from it is pathetic.

As the other day, I took my break and noticed about 8 people sheltering under the overhang of an empty unit. Had my break then had to see a manager and police about an incident that happened at work, I was a witness. Came back about an hour and ten minutes later and the same 8 were still there. “They haven’t moved” said a colleague on the checkouts.

This happens quite a lot in Leicester city centre. Met up with a friend for lunch and drinks. Came back and walked past M&S and a couple never moved in 2 hours. Had distinctive clothing.

If you don’t do rain, go when it’s not raining as much (if forecast for several days), wear a raincoat with hood up.

The way some people react when it’s raining they sound like children.

Sounds like a perfect use case for some form of smart switches on those lights ... :D

Still wildly fluctuating temps from day to day, but low point is now about 13C and high about 19C, which is definitely warm. So winter I guess is over this year, its now a countdown to the heat wave type temperatures.

Yellow wind warning at the moment but nothing like the last red one where i posted how tame it was before my utility roof went flying skyward (and smashed into neighbours roof) given that new bolts and also pointed the ridge tiles since then, we all know to do hedges not fences around here
edit , the tiles are chattering a little now so will be glad when its over

I never ever got my head around the proper meaning of that one .. help me out?
Here you go

British slang, stereotype of a right-wing person who is seemingly always sunburned.

The kind of person who thinks that "flour" is a spice, that there's too many Spaniards in Spain, and that they "Don't want any of that foreign muck" when abroad instead only eating Chips and Sausages
A: Did you see that guy over there?
B: Which one?
A: the Gammon complaining to the waiter that the chicken is "too spicy" cause it has peppercorns on it
