Winter 2022/23 - It's too cold :(

I suspect that was due to a crash and lack of gritting. West side of Manchester wasn't that bad. Definitely seemed kind of isolated pockets of snow and higher ground getting the brunt of it.

It has been incredibly patchy - the other side of the valley from me (they are 400 feet higher above sea level) had 4 times as much snow as we did and the same distance the opposite way to me had nothing much at all - just a light dusting on cars and some other surfaces.

Started out nice and sunny and dare I say it, spring like there was that feel in the air then it clouded over and by the end of the day its back to bloody rain again

It’s -6 at 2am and forecast to reach -8 by 5am.

Insane, don’t think I’ve seen temps so cold before.

You must be in the far, far north. I remember years ago driving down the north devon link road after a snowy boxing day and all was white with snow and the trees were crusted with frost like icing sugar and the temperature kept dropping and hit -8 at one point thinking blimey thats a bit nippy

Are there any decent long range forecasts for April? Got an event on Easter weekend and would like a best guess. Met says drier, but can't find anyone else saying anything educated.

AccuWeather does a LR forecast as does MetCheck.

The issue you have is it's not Back to the Future II here so, the further ahead you go, the less confident they can be.
