Heating on for 3 hours this morning gone from 11 to 19 in the the living room. Should be fine to leave it off all day now will slowly go down to around 15 by the evening.

I unfortunately have no way of blocking upstairs from the front door which is freezing so it sucks all the heat away.

I'm averaging around £1.60 a day in gas at the minute, that's with the house set to 13c overnight.
20c downstairs between 6am and 9 pm
Upstairs 18c in the evening and morning.
Doesn't seem to bad really.

The minimum temperature for health indoors is 18 degrees - below this you are at increased risk of respiratory infection. At 14 degrees there is a risk of pneumonia
Yeah I know but for me 18 degrees is too hot. I hate hot weather. Suppose I'm just used to it, never had central heating until I left home at 21 and just find it too stuffy and overwhelming. My daughter and son are the only two who moan, wimps I say, lol

Perhaps you should see a doctor.

Need this cold weather to ease asap. Literally cannot afford our gas usage when it's like this. I'm dreading the rest of winter. :(

Very hard frost overnight, and going to be freezing all day. I used to absolutely love this weather but I struggle now I'm older. Put a heavy blanket over my quilt last night and had the best nights sleep I've had for ages. My wife thinks I'm nuts. :D
This is so true, im the exact same with regards to loving the freezing winters. But I too sleep so much better with heavy blankets on me through the night. We have a thick tog winter douvet on now, but I still throw over a thick heavy blankey my side or a dressing gown so I feel more snug and warm. I have the best nights sleep in winter, I love it. Summers can do one.

Listen folks we are all in this suffering together, stay strong, it's tough but we will come.through this.......

Apparently you've got a lot of schools closed down there due to the weather so pretty pictures aren't going to cut it. ;)

Good insulation + Gas ^

I'm averaging £5 a day on a 1970's Bungalow, storage heaters, eco 7 no gas

 That's mental.

My Nov usage was 84p/day - no idea what its been in the last week though which would be higher but not double
