I don't mind driving in snow, I'm perfectly capable. It's the other dribblers I unfortunately have to share the road with that worry me.No snow my way, and I hope it stays like that.
It's great fun when you're very young, but if outside and driving in it, nowhere near much.
Just driven home, the road is badly flooded in places.
Made a point of coming into the office for 0730 this morning to avoid all that. Roads plowed and treated but I won’t be surprised to see posts on the local FB page later exclaiming roads are barely passable.I don't mind driving in snow, I'm perfectly capable. the local news is still giving out snow warnings here for Wednesday ,thing is if it did happen i love being snowed in but not snowed out i.e having to park the car away from the house when i cant make it home
The sleet and hail and rain has being diabolical so heavy all of us at work ran to the door to see how bad it was (basically an old barn we are in )
The one on the right is the BBC TV weather forecast and they can't quite make up their mind whether its going to be snow or rain, probably just rain and based on experience I agree. There is still 2 outcomes in play for the south Wednesday:

Most of the models like the Met, etc. are unfortunately on the same tune as the Arpege (right hand image) and the Arpege in my experience is more often than not accurate, the GFS doesn't have a great track record for accuracy.
This is why though there are so many warnings (and same for the previous spell) there are 2 perfectly possible outcomes in play and if the snowy one does come off it will be quite significant.

I'm south Liverpool and my garden has been white since Sunday. I travel up the 57 for work and by the time I get to Switch Island, everything is green! Annoyingly, it seems to have snowed every night, just at the perfect time in the early hours when the roads are dead so there's no traffic to clear the snow, ready to cause some rush hour chaos. I've been making the most of it and having an extra hour in bed to wait for it to quieten down.Had few cm again last night , M62 near Warrington was a nightmare last night
