When Bronn came in and threatened Jamie and Tyrion why did they not just shout GUARDS or when he was leaving get to the door and shout Guards arrest that man or are they that stupid in Winterfell that they let a strange man walk about with a crossbow and not be suspicious.

Really? If someone you believed would actually shoot you, had a gun to your head, you'd start shouting for help? You'd be dead very quickly...

Right, not that specific inn which is miles away. But they were in an inn, just outside Winterfell. The image is dark, but you can see WF on the hill in the background, just above the heads of the two extras.

Point is, it wasn't in Winterfell where they were confronted by Bronn.
Bit of a difference between that and the Inn at the Crossroads ;).

I suspect that the finale of Game of Thrones is going to be the thing which keeps it firmly behind Band of Brothers as my best tv show ever. The finale of Band of Brothers was as close to a perfect episode ever but I fear the finale of Game of Thrones is going to be very wide of the mark.

The Pacific comes 2nd after BoB tbh

You seriously think that GOT is up there with Band of Brothers? I mean it's good, but BOB is virtually flawless. I know it's nowhere near the length of GOT so doesn't have to fill as many episodes but it's not even in the same league.

Haha he really is a rubbish character.
He is the worst character in Game of thrones history I hate the way he talks with his monotone voice and always looks spaced out I wish the Night king would have managed to get his sword out and hit him with it to save us from the boredom whenever he is on screen I don't read the books but I hope he is better in the books it might be the actors fault he is a bit wooden.

Not up there with, hence why I say behind as opposed to level or above. It is however probably in my top 5 shows ever. Please note that I say "my"... everyones tastes and opinions will differ, some people (my mother for example) will say that neither are amongst the best shows.

But the trouble with that is the location makes no sense other than to get the writers out of the 'how did Bron get into Winterfell with a blummin big crossbow?' problem. It was a clumsy scene from start to finish, and Bron deserved better.

Such is the Game of Moans though. They've given us plenty to yak about, so we should be grateful for that at least.

The Inn was in the winter town just outside the walls that Brienne stayed in and was shown in the first ep of this season. It's where Tyrion went to find the whores in the first season and where Jaime found him.
Thought it made perfect sense for them to be there after coming out of ep 3 alive. Would also be the first place I'd look for Tyrion if I were Bronn!

Fair point, but the trouble with this series is there's no connective tissue. A quick scene where the Lannisters were feeling a bit sidelined and wanted a bit of timeout would have established the scene. As it was it just felt like someone hastily crossing a plot thread of a list.

I dunno... it all just feels clumsy to me, and that's a shame when so many talented people have put so much of their working lives into bringing us this epic. I feel worse for them than I do for those of us whingeing in the audience.

I need to go back and see which episode that was in Season 5

LOL

Edit:

Arya is put to the test. Tyrion and Jorah are captured by slavers. Loras Tyrell is judged by the Sparrows. Jaime and Bronn face the Sand Snakes. Sansa marries Ramsay Bolton.

Arya is tested by Jaqen H'ghar in the House of Black and White and he tells that she is ready to become someone else. Tyrion and Jorah have a conversation about Daenerys and Jorah's father and how he was murdered by his own men; out of the blue, they are captured by pirates and turned into slaves. Little Finger stumbles with Lancel in King's Landing and has a meeting with Cersei and he plots against Stannis Baratheon and the Bolton. Jamie and Bronn are riding in Dornes and they meet Myrcella; however they need to fight against the Sand Snakes. Lady Olenna meets with Cersei to discuss the future of Loras Tyrell. He is judged by the High Sparrow and Margaery Tyrell is involved and arrested with her brother to a formal trial. Sansa marries Ramsay Bolton and he humiliates her.

Yeah they could have smoothed out some of this - maybe test screenings so audiences can point out lapses in logic or where exposition is needed etc. But then the plot gets leaked so catch 22. Shorter season doesn't help but then you'll get people complaining about 'filler' episodes.

Story threads ending or being left was always going to split people. But they no longer have the actual books to base it off so what can they do? Half wonder if it's why GRRM seems so reticent to release the last two books. 4&5 had a bit of a backlash, but only because 3 was pretty much the pinnacle of fantasy story writing - how do you top that?!

[spoilers]

The reddit source for these leaks have been pretty spot on so far.
But they have filmed different endings apparently, so they could now change it because these are out in the open.

That makes no sense, they're not going to change a story to some sub-par version they previously rejected just because a few people on the internet have read a spoiler.

I'd take these things with a pinch of salt tbh.. some of it seems plausible but I think most of these things are a case of lots of people coming up with good guesses and then lots of focus put on the ones that have had good guesses so far.

I mean the things from there that I'd have already expected and which have already been mentioned in this thread are:
Cleganebowl
Danny going mental - I mean seems quite likely she'll destroy the Red Keep given the vision from several series ago and Jon wouldn't be too happy with her. Not sure about him supposedly killing her though.

also as of last weeks episode:
Vary's isn't happy with her anymore and so him betraying her and getting executed for it is quite plausible, that would certainly annoy Tyrion
