Lol Ronaldo what a complete noob. He has been done hook line and sinker by Piers. I do believe that he still had at least another 1-2 seasons playing at the top. Not week in week out but in cups and as an impact player but now he is basically retired.

He has plenty of money already and he doesn't seem like the guy who really cares about that side. What he cares about is his image. Saudi league isn't even Vauxhall Conference level.

He'll be in a perma-sulk now seeing as Messi has a WC Winner medal and will likely take his CL scorer record. Maybe his huge bag of unnecessary cash will cheer him up.

Presumably it's:

(a) his awful attitude across the last year or so leading to him joining a joke league after claiming that loads of big clubs are after him and

(b) that any decent person who's achieved what he has would retire or, at worst, go to the US rather than turning to the country which is the biggest bidder and offers nothing else

He literally just said in his interview a month ago that he didn't want to go for the money and he wanted to play at the top level. He got zero offers and has gone to Saudi with his tail between his legs.

He's (in my opinion) the greatest player of my lifetime and all the top ones are arrogant. He's signed a bumper contract to finish his career off, good for him.
