I’m wondering if a cheeky £20m would be accepted for tielemans, especially with him going to leave for free in 6 months
His wages probably would be a no go. Think he was pretty determined to hold out until he's a free agent.
Edson Alverez as you mentioned has been a target but I think he carries 50million price tag.
Gallagher on loan is my bet if Chelsea get their man

I really don’t see why Chelsea would make us stronger when we’re a threat to their top4 status, I would love Edson Alverez but my 2+2 is probably adding up to 100. I really can’t see why Eddie would sanction his sale if we don’t have a replacement lined up

Honestly, I’d stay away from Tielemans. He’s overrated imo. Can score the odd worldie but he’s lazy and slow
Too much financial sense.
A fee received and his wages cleared off the books.
We are also seem to be reluctant to play him as there is rumoured contract extension if he reaches a certain number of games.

He’s only 25 though, laziness can soon disappear under a new manager, as bigpig said wages would probably be a factor

Yeah it could be in recent times I never really understood what happened, he was excellent to begin with, I thought apart from Auba he was our best player in 2018-19. Best DM since Vieira.
Serious money usually means a player wants to be starting games though, I mean if you spend £70m+ on someone then (for a club like Arsenal) it can't be for someone to fill in short term and then sit on the bench moving forward, they would need to be a regular starter. Fair enough if the vision is to replace Xhaka once Partey is fit and give up on Rice I suppose. But the latest news is Partey won't miss any games so we're basically saying we want Caicedo instead of Xhaka and won't pursue Rice if we buy him.

Top 4 is gone already and Real will shred us. They arent easy to beat even when we were riding high and had everyone performing, the way we are this year and with the state of our midfield , the tie will be over after the first leg. I can only hope that the reason we havent strengthened the midfield in this window is because we are about to be sold rather than its an actual decision we've made

Not sure if he's a 6 bit more of an all around midfielder? Big, Fit, mobile and a tidy passer from what I hear.

Before the Gorden deal we can do roughly 3.5 Isak in the summer of 23 before FFP comes knocking.
That's roughly 230million. It has been stated previously that transfer fees are no problem it's our bloated squad and wages that's a stumbling block.
As soon as Chris Wood was off the books we moved hard.

The other day when Pep was talking, he referred to him as Mr Cancelo. To me, that shows there’s a detachment between the two now, probably driven by Cancelo having a wobbly
