Wolfenstein: The New Order

This game could rock if they get it right. It looks good already, I just hope it's not gimped in some way. Might wait for reviews instead of pre-ordering.
 
Just waiting until I can nab a pre-order for under £20...I think I know I will enjoy this. Access to the Doom 4 beta would be pretty sweet.
 
Be interesting to see what they've done with iD Tech5, hopefully the issues that RAGE suffered from have been ironed out, the DOOM beta is the thing that's making me twitch though, can't wait.
 
I like what I have seen so far, and am quietly confident that it'll be at the very least 'decent / worth playing for me at least'. It would appear that the story design / emotive scenes look well done, but until we get our hands on it we won't know.

I'm not pre-ordering it, but will be interested to read what others think of Doom.
 
I'm always complaining that not enough games focus enough on single player but this is probably one of the few games I would love to be multiplayer along the lines of the original RTCW or ET.
 
i dont know going from the videos it looks pretty crap tbh
the movie/cgi and videos look great and the story looks intresting but the gameplay looks generic and crap, the guy most of the time , just seemed like there was no skill involved at all in the aiming mechanics

he did not even aim once to kill loads of enemys just hip fireing
again seems generic and people will probably get bored real fast....
 
Someone should have remade RTCW with a modern game engine/physics, added a few more levels and polished up the multiplayer and it would be a winner ;)

Sure I read this new game has health packs BUT some element of regenerating health, not being able to duck into a dark corner for a health recharge adds so much to a SP game and some levels would take a whole evening or so unlike most of the newer stuff a couple of evenings for the full game :D

I remember when I encountered my first skeleton. It slowly advanced in total darkness as I emptied my clip in its shield doing no damage. It was a great game but the industry has evolved since then, it's going to take a lot more to impress me now.

Played this at Eurogamer last year and the gameplay was no worse/more generic than any other popular shooters out there (COD, BF4 etc), plus you can dual wield assault rifles! Brings me back to the Timesplitters days :D
