Wolfenstein: The New Order

I don't get it. In first couple levels you mow down dozens of nazis, then the game throws at you stealth missions (you can be seen, but there's no fun because you only have a knife), forced character interactions, 15 minutes of swimming around sewers with no nazis in sight, and godawful hub exploration levels. Does the pacing get any better, 'cause it feels pretty bad at the moment. Also do you use the laser tool for anything else (apart from cutting chains and opening boxes)? Would be cool if you cut cut off the metal armour of armoured robot nazi's and use it as your own.

I seem to be stuck at the end of the prologue, after touching the wires I'm unable to jump out the window no matter what I press, any ideas? is there a key combo or something for this?

Touch the wires 3 times quickly until all 3 lights are green and he twists them together and lets go. Then just jump out the window.

This honestly wasn't on my radar at all tbh, but I just read a very favourable article in Forbes(which seems to be my go-to for gaming news now!) which has persuaded me to pick it up, and now I am really looking forward to getting stuck in!

At 40gb though, it isn't gonna fit on my SSD.

Is this active on Steam yet?
I prepurchased and preloaded it (took yonks) and it is still not active yet in my library??
I see on the store page it is available.
What gives??

I bought a Steam key early Tuesday morning, logged into my account, redeemed code and within 40 minutes I was playing.
So, not sure why your game is not active.

Tweaking display settings?

Guys, I'm playing on an i7 [email protected] with 6Gb XMS3 and the graphics card is an R7850 MSI Twin Frozr III 2Gb. The game is running sweet as a nut for me with excellent FPS at 1920x1080. However, I see very little options in the games display menu to tweak things up a bit. Is there any way to do so via console commands or an .ini file etc?

Happy with the way the visuals look as it is but wouldn't like to think I'm missing out on any additional eye candy my system could handle!

The first option in the graphics menu (its not obvious at first) is the advanced options that lets you fiddle with the graphic profile.

Got a feeling a lot of people have probably played it on medium settings unaware it can be turned up more.

If your not paying attention as I wasn't it looks like a heading not a button :( I was about 15-20 minutes into the game before I realised.

I'm still stuck at the window in prologue after opening the bars:confused:
the other two bods keep shouting go on jump but I can't ge tout of the window:confused:

Can anyone remember this bit? which keys did you press? do you climb into the recess first because a clip I saw didn't do that & a cutscene started which ended the level

Sprint key jump in a left direction so as drift in front of the guys handing up.. if you go ahead and right.. you're off.

Quite a way through chapter 1 on Uber difficulty.. doesn't seem too taxing.. Alarms trigger easily though.

Agree with this,

5 Reasons Why 'Wolfenstein: The New Order' Is Shooter Of The Year (So Far)

Wolfenstein: The New Order has been described, in some largely positive reviews, as “competent” but “mostly unremarkable.”

I beg to differ.

There’s something about the game that is so much more than that. Yes, it’s competent. But it’s more than that. It’s a thoughtful, invigorating shooter focused entirely on its single-player campaign. The game is as tight and well-tuned as any shooter I’ve played in recent years.

God the game really gets dark in places. Not like the fun jokey Nazi's in Allo Allo that we all loved. I dare say it was a good thing they lost the war.
