Wolfenstien 2 Vulkan benchmarks:

Is the Vega card still keeping up with the 1080ti? I'm getting confused with all these updates.
Not that it even matters if everyone is getting 200fps in the game.

No it's not, the 1080Ti is at least 15% faster still and without Async Compute (as it was disabled in the new patch till a driver update fixes it).

He just plugged the video ? Got his results wrong?
Apparently yes, he retested again and in most scenes the Vega 64 is 15% faster than GTX 1080, in two of his scenes they were equal.

O wow what a difference. I wounder what the issue was before?

VEGA before it was a close call, now Vega just wiped the floor with the 1080

Is it me or is Vega producing sharper scenes? The 1080's look to have some sort of very light 'fog' on top of the textures (for lack of a better word).
i thought the same but i have always preferd the iq on amd, out of interest i showed this vid to a couple of people in work that know nothing about pc gaming or graphics cards and ask them which looked best and low and behold the amd was a clear winner

Looks similar levels of blur in the duderandom video and clearer on vega on the other video. Probably just to do with the capture/compression method?

2nd video also looks to have ~200MHz more on the vega clock - pretty good!

My mates that unimpessed with his Acer Predator/1080ti image that hes considering a Vega 64 so he can swap back to his Freesync screen. Hopefully he does as it would mean when I was through I would have the 1080ti in the spare machine :D:D:D:D:D.

It flies but as a game it's pretty crap. I wish someone would put this sort of IQ & engine into something like Stalker.

So over shooters on rails with console hit boxes. No imagination whatsoever.

We should apply that mentality to everything then. Can't wait to see the next copy of Auto Express, they're going to do a group test of Astra VXR, Focus ST and a Lamborghini Aventador. Wonder which will win :D

Well I imagine the fuel economy of the first two would be better along with them being cheaper to maintain, then you have the cost of buying would be cheaper for them both too. The lambo however would look nicer.

See how easy it is ?

Is it just me that gets the feeling Vega was intended to point the direction for developers to go?
Nvidia seem pretty settled on DX11 and their own closed garden API's on top.
AMD needed to make a card for a future (of DX12 and vulkan) that simply doesn't exist yet in order to erode the ground nvidia have built their camp on and force them to join it in a post DX11 world (where the fight would be fairer).
Bethesda on board being the start of the future..? Wishful thinking?
