Wolfenstien The Old Blood

Played a little bit, seems the same as The New Order which is good. One thing I've noticed is that the game has lots of jaggies! Even running 1440p @ 2x AA it still needs more. Shame afterburner isn't working with it, be nice to see what fps I was getting.

Is this locked at 60fps with no SLI support just like New Order was?

Crossfire doesn't work and its the same engine as New Order so no SLI support either. Afterburner isnt working for me in game but I would have thought the 60fps cap still exists.

Nightmares are fun :)

Then what does it display? It can't display "nothing".

E.g. Monitor at 60hz, gpu is giving 45fps = 15hz worth of duplicate (or not duplicate, but refreshed the same as was previously) frames.

From my understanding you are correct. For example 60 FPS on a 120hz monitor, each frame would be repeated twice every 60th of a second. I think it's to do with how fast it does so that our eyes do not see any thing odd and the picture seems as it should. Another example in a Standard TV Broadcast at 24FPS on a regular 50/60HZ TV. If what the other poster was saying is true, and judder was introduced at anything under a TV/monitors refresh rate, we would all have noticed it every single day when watching TV. The theory of judder being introduced is correct, our eyes just can't see it.

Have you tried adding the profile in RivaTuner and setting it Custom Direct3D Support to "On"? Because the OSD defo works for me with that setting on New Order. Sure I had to fiddle around with it for a while to discover this, so hope this maybe helps if you like to have the OSD.

Look forward to playing this. I loved TNO, but found it almost unplayable unfortunately, with stuttering, texture-popping etc...and even with none of that I got really low FPS in places,

I have since upgraded to a 970, so hopefully this will be a lot smoother!

TNO ran like a dream on my 970 so you should be golden. Which gpu are you coming from that had problems in previous game? I imagine it will have been vram issues as I regularly saw it well over 3gb usage, often approaching 4gb, even at 1080p

It was a 3gb 7950....I only played it a few months ago! Probably an AMD thing. This is my first ever nvidia card.

I was actually very surprised at how badly it ran on my 7950.

£7.80ish on Nuuvem region free if anyone interested. Brought and downloading atm.

Bought thanks. Wee bit of faffing around with hola to get around the websites own region locking, but worth it for basically the game at 50% off.

Not sure when I will get round to playing, but couldn't say no at that price!

Awww man :(

I had to uninstall the game and am re-installing it on another drive., Even though the pre-load brought my SSD to 33GB free, the unpack process used up ALL of the remaining space on the SSD and STEAM gave a disk write error

Remarkably Windows 7 didn't even complain about low disk space and everything runing remained perfect. The Samsung 830 Pro is a soldier.

Created a new STEAM library on a WD Red disk so will use that for some games to overflow on to.

As soon as 1GB SSDs are close to what 256GB ones are now, I shall clone over
