They ran him over in the car, crashed, got out and one of them started hacking him with a meat cleaver and a kitchen knife while the other stood guard with a gun.

They targeted a 'potential' soldier just as 'we' target 'potentials' abroad.

They could have been wrong yes, just like we have been wrong and taken out an innocent.

The UK operates to internationally recognised and acceptable rules of engagement.

These do not include running down an unarmed man and hacking him up.

I wouldn't try to justify that though - he was quite rightly locked up for what he did and there is no excuse for it.

We still have some colonies in far flung places send those who don't want to be 'Trurly' British to populate those places. Perhaps they could form their own culture and who knows in a couple of hundred years they might even have their own country to call their own and live by their own warped laws.
South Shetland Islands would be a nice place for a fledgling British Islamic state to try and found its self.
