I've just seen that highlights (didn't see the match), and I think the thing that most stuck out for me was that after Green's mistake, not one of his supposed team mates ran up to him to give him a simple slap on the back and try to give him a bit of confidence afterwards.

Agreed, they were all too busy turning their backs on him and walking away.

Stick Hart in net, that was my sentiment from the start and why not stick Dawson in the team too? He would be my choice. Joe Cole should start as well!

Whats really annoying me is all this talk on Radio and TV that Hart and Dawson are too young or inexperienced for the world cup.

Out of all of our Goalkeepers Hart has had the best season and is obviously the most confident character of all 3. Not only this but he is 23, guys like Casillas where playing for their country at 19 and a constant starter at 21 and Buffon was the no.1 for Italy at 24 Years old, only in this country do we mark a guy down for being young instead of giving the obvious better player the chance to play.

As for Dawson he is 26 for gods sake and has had a very good season, isnt as slow as hell like Carragher and isn't injury prone like King, and isn't crap like Upson. Not only this but he is obviously a strong enough character to deal with the so called pressures of the World cup. he was Captain of Forrest at 19 for gods sake.

Green's gaffe didn't cost England victory did it though? Judging from reports and highlights, Englands lacklustre and poor performance cost them victory.

No it didn't and he can be forgiven for his is schoolboy keeping error. As to the rest of the motley crew you do wonder what happened to their motivation and all their preparation. That performance cost them a win. Still all is not yet lost and they have to redeem themselves on Friday or all will be lost.

I want to see Heskey dropped for Crouch, that way if we hoof it for another 90mins he might at least get a few decent chances that (unlike Heskey) he is capable of putting away.

If that quote about Heskey blaming the ball is true I'm gobsmacked, he just leathered it straight at the keeper how would previous balls have done anything different?

The thing is Heskey did play well with the 'bread and butter' stuff but he is just a woeful striker. Crouch should start with Rooney.

How someone who has such a great strike rate for England gets dropped in favour of someone who hasn't scored since February amazes me.

You have to say one thing for Heskey though. Anything good that happened the other night in regards to going forward mostly went through Heskey. He holds the ball up well and allows for others to come up and support in attack. Everyone else including Gerrard and Lampard gave the ball away far too easily.

I'd love to see Hart given a chance, but I can't see it happening. Capello seems destined to make all the same decisions that McClaren and Sven did.

Just edited to correct your sentence, it may have been what you meant but i felt it needed stating more clearly :p

Can anyone please sum up why Capello took King, not being funny but everyone knew he was going to last 1 game, he never bothered with Owen due to injury and not playing then takes King.
