But then none of them had anywhere near the same time on the pitch as Rooney.... nor the same amount of misplaced passes or lost possession...

I would if it didn't mean i'd have to sit through those awful displays of 'football' but you really need to accept that Rooney has been awful. No ifs, no buts. He has played poorly in every single game.

Rooney was poor, to say otherwise is laughable. The big question though is why he was so poor? In the four games he played he spent most of his time trying to win the ball, dropping deep. couple this with Lampard and Gerrard also being deep it doesn't take a genius to see why the forwards struggled.
