We had a much fitter team then the Italians, they might have had the ball more but they were definitely slowing down a lot and starting to play dirtier which is usually a sign of players getting knacked.
The guy getting sent off was the straw that broke the camels back.

Italy would have lost if that nob didn't dive :mad:

So if they do win this world cup they havnt won on skill, the have one dishonestly and half heartedly, won by cheating. Might aswell taken a steroids really.

Once again showing my lack of knowledge - I didn't realise France were any good - or was it luck that got them to the Final? I haven't watched a match yet

Do they have a chance against Italy? Should I be proud of the French team at the moment?

It's more than luck. They took a few games to get going, and they looked like they were past it, but they swept Spain and Brazil aside with typical Gallic elegance. It's 50/50 for the final though, because Italy look pretty awesome as well.

Should you be proud? Well, if you have to ask....

I'm not all that bothered with this one. Maybe I'll side with France if anything. Still gutted the way Australia went out to the Italians, so that might have something to do with it

As for the guy that said Italy would have whacked us 3-0......lol, I don't think so. If anything, the sending off of the Italian mucked up our momentum at that point. We were holding them 0-0 and on the attack. And if it had gone to extra time we were the fitter team. With them only having ten men we would have worn them down eventually I think

But still, France didn't put in a decent performance until they met Brazil, and a semi beating you deserve to get is better than a quarter you don't...

They played a damn sight better than they had been previously after Rooney and Beckham went off though.

I might come from a country that isnt known for soccer but it doesn't mean i haven't played it. In fact ive played it since i was 5 or 6 and ive played in 3 or 4 State tournaments over the past few years aswell

Note the not so subtle sarcasm there.
FGS get over it. You lost. Live with it.
What goes around comes around. Marco shouldnt have been sent off for 1. And before he got sent off, we were holding you without breaking a sweat. Yes, as the game got on, it got more dirty, yes it was down to fatigue, but not because you were fitter, because we'd played most of the game with 10men!
If it wasnt for Marco, it was for Hiddinks antics at the last world cup.

Other countries have accepted going out, you should to.
