There's no way that was a dive. Materazzi (I think, whoever the defender was) clipped his heel when he ran across him. No-one could've stayed on his feet there.

Soft pen maybe, but no dive.

Don't know if there was contact (didn't particularly look like it) but he certainly did a pratfall on the way down. Kicked himself in the back of the leg to produce a realistic looking fall. Take a look on the next replay of it.
