Yep, he went to Barlinnie for giving a Glasgow kiss to John McStay while playing for Rangers. Although wikipedia calls it an altercation it was basically an assault and somewhat oddly goes against the principle of volenti non fit injuria(rough translation those who volunteer can't be injured - they have waived their rights) for sportsmen.
