I'm just not worried about our second half performance. It was our first game, against a poor side and in tough conditions. We didn't need to over exert. Yes, if this were the 3rd group game and we were still struggling then I'd have concern, but it's the way people act as if this is the best you'll see out of England - based on this one group game.

I'd rather us get the problems out of the side before we run into Germany/Argentina/Holland/Brazil than against a side that couldn't score in a brothel.

It's not even worth comparing our first game to anyone elses as things change so much in a World Cup. Don't peak too soon for God's sake! :p
 
Hmm not good news, Neville supports Beckham really well and not sure Carragher would provide enough support to make Beckham effective in open play. Apparently Rooney is 'match-fit' now though!

then don't play Becham then (but that will never happen with sven), I know what you're saying though - the only player Neville passes to is Beckham when he plays.

With Beckhams good passing and deadball play recently there is no way he will be dropped.

I hope it's Carragher at RB instead of Hargreaves.
 
I think he's been useless, one good free kick in 90 minutes in the last game, apart from that he was rubbish. Hargreaves can take the free kicks or corners anyway.

Aye , Terry's done well , Joe Cole is a little hit and miss for me.

I dont know why Beckham constantly gets so much stick on this forum.
Of course , it'll have nowt to do with the high number of Man Utd fans. ;)
 
Aye i've been a critic of Beckham in the past but his passing and dead ball work are top notch atm and without him we would probably be even more toothless than we are now!

Just wish Sven could find the real Steven Gerrard as the one England plays isnt half the player the Liverpool one is (Same issue as France and Henry we dont use him right I dont think)
