honestly mate, it didnt happen like that. Rooney didnt stamp, but ive no problem with him being carded for pushing ronaldo. Red is maybe a bit harse, but thats the ref's desicision. That's the way i see it, i cant see why others cant. Also, Ronaldo definatly was gunning for it. You saw it before the game start when he 'pushed' Rooney with his head, and when he winked to the other playersw after Rooney was booked. Falling like a tree in log-cutter country doesnt help, either.

At the end of the day England, despite the tosh that was called seedings for this world cup, are ranked around 7th in the world therefore they are doing well to get this far in the tournament and should never be expected to get any further on merit. They always need huge amounts of luck to get further than last eight.

When England can regularly beat any team that comes up against them very convincingly (something they fail to do reapeatedly when faced with anyone inside the top 50 teams in the world) then maybe we can say they have a real true chance of doing something special at a major tournament.
 
The thread got closed as it was having more and more bad posts, and moving on at a great rate.

It will most likely be cleaned up and re-opened I hope, but this thread will go the same way if the trolls come in and you feed them, ignore any bad comments and RTM them guys to keep this one open.

First time I have been in SA and I hope on the one topic I want to read about there is not a blanket ban on its discussion. :)

Good of you to say so, as a non-England fan.

There was no intent. The only person that deserves punishment for what happened is Ronaldo.

Which was why I RTM'ed a post in that thread and asked for Don's to keep an eye on it before it got out of hand.

Of course, when Scotland don't qualify for the next tournament it'll be the same England fans complaining just now that will be taking the mick out of us.
 
lol scotland dont qaulify not because their rubbish but because of these goddam seedings....we have 3 qaurter finalists ukraine france and italy(semi finalist) to get to the next eu championship...lol god look at the greek group..they dont even have a wcup qaulifying team in their group

Until I see a more thoughtful attitude from the majority of the other home nations, then my attitude won't change and things haven't improved during the 43 years that I've been around and I can't see them changing in the forseeable future.

And your first line is ridiculous, we don't have the huge chip on our shoulders, it's the other nations that seem to take great delight in England losing at anything, stating that it's all down to the press coverage etc, which is just a feeble attempt to justify unwarranted hatred, now that's pathetic.

I dont take the **** out of England at all. I don't take the game as seriously as others and it isn't my problem if others do. I think i was respectful with my posts and the people who say "I hope you bump into 50 England fans" is much worse than any of my replies.

i dont agree with that in all honestly. We are as bad as other nations. lets face it we've been writing off our team all throughout the cup. we slated scotland constantly, but the only difference is they didnt really care. Now our teams out, they will be slated even more. by our nation, let alone others.
