World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Did finally get the monitor today and overall been pretty happy with it. Only real issue is the grey uniformity isn't the best, but I expected that really considering the LG TV panels are the same. At the very least it's not as bad as the LG TVs banding issues so far.

Further emphasis on how decent the AR coating is and as mentioned by someone else earlier, the curvature and combination of glossy panel + AR coating makes for really well controlled reflections until yo start to move your head into an unreasonably obtuse angle:

Nice to see you guys receiving your monitors. Generally, have you been receiving them before your estimated delivery date?

My one is not due to be delivered till 5th August. Amex cashback expires end of July wondering how likely Dell is to ship and take payment in July.

I don't think the dates they're giving are too accurate until nearer the time

I was part of the lot who had the delivery date delayed to the 22nd of April after they ran out of stock on launch. The shipping date changed to the 6th of April, but it missed that causing another delay email to be sent with the delivery date being updated to the 6th of May. However not too long after that delay email it did indeed ship out. Which leads me to believe the delivery dates are some what generic, and the delay emails are just automatically adding a month of time to the date. However the shipping date being updated was probably somewhat accurate, just the shipment was late by a few days.

I know no-one here has a crystal ball but how many years do you think it'll be before we see OLED monitors in the £600ish area?

Standard oled TVs already hit around that area with the LG A1. 60hz 4k with a worse processor and not a monitor though. Think Alienware is an outlier. MSRP won't change and price won't drop during its lifetime. Only way will be stacking discount codes as it has been so far.

I need some pics then. Pink tint is the achilles heel of woled, if qd solves that then it is by far superior to LG oled.

There is no comparison when it comes to uniformity between qd-oled and oled, my e7 is pretty good in terms of uniformity although corners aren't quite as white/bright as centre. Photos don't really do it justice but I think Vincent and other reviewers have mentioned it:

Very good game for showing of 21.9 too as the FOV is very squashed (especially with 16.9) but it kind of suits this game as if you increase it, you get visual artifacts and you lose the feel/look that the developers/designers were going for imo.

Dell are giving me my 10% discount so this has cost me a grand total of £663 now, if quidco goes through, that'll be another £51 :D

How did you get 10%? I'm going to need to have a moan at them. "Next day delivery" became June.

Just said that I seen others are getting 10% back due to order being delayed, was hoping the same can be done for me too given my order is also delayed or something along those lines.
