I am definitely keeping mine, as mentioned by mrk the pros outweigh such things and you just get used to it anyways. I don’t get the box come up that often. Usually when I switch of the monitor it just does the refresh on its own without any prompts on screen. I think it might be because I clicked don’t ask me again, though it still does, just not so often anymore.

Tbf it was a bit of an impulse buy in the first place and the reports of fan noise (inc a discord guy I know) has managed to put me off a bit. Plus it's a bit small for me anyhow, the 38 might suit me better.

Yeah the fan thing can certainly be improved but lol at going back to a lcd

But yes tbh I'm more interested in the new Asus 42in oled that's coming, big heatsink on it apparently so no fan.
I have been using 27” 4K for like around 8 years so this is exactly the same vertical screen space, just wider, so been a smooth transition from that point of view

Yeah I can live with that, not totally unreasonable.
It is for me when this AW cost me half as much
Good thing is my transition from 4K to this is now complete, I am used to the downgrade in resolution. That was my biggest worry. I will at the very least keep it until close to the time warranty is running low and see what’s what then. Maybe there will be a 4K 32” version out by then with no fan. As much as I am enjoying ultrawide I am more than happy to go back to 16:9

For next monitor upgrade, I’d basically want the following:
- 38inch
- better font handling or diff sub pixel arrangement
- no gsync
- no fan
Image quality wise, it’s a nice step up from woled. Lack of motion blur over lcd can’t be explained without someone being able to experience it.

It is quite a big box actually. Much bigger than a 27” one.

Has anyone told by syncreon that they should expect delivery today got any update on their tracking or any luck with 3999 DHL? Starting to feel a bit like groundhog day. They are killing my hope.
So this is the noise mine is making, sat at the desktop https://www.dropbox.com/s/1hp82j4zgkzaqrx/aw3423.m4a?dl=0 - this is on my mac - nothing going on, room temp is low. It was also making this racket when i took my headphones off after gaming. I cant see the fan itself, but it sounds like its in the centre of the chassis and is clearly fouling something
Tbf the font handling would be better if it had a better PPI. It is the low PPI that has caused that issue. A 38" with a proper 150+ PPI would be great. Not too worried about Gsync/Fan but I would be happy with just having Freesync Premium Pro.

Tbh with you, I have gone from a 27" 1440p to this, so the PPI is basically identical. The fonts still look crap, even after various tweaks including the better font smoothing tools. I wouldnt use this for productivity/coding/whatever you do that isnt gaming.
