World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

if you can hear the fan while gaming or even just web browsing then you should rma the monitor. The fan when you have one works correctly is dead silent

Looking forward to when OLED prices come down a bit. I would love one for next to my bed xD It seems the cheapest 27 incher is the LG at £850. If we are talking that sort of money, i think I would rather buy another Alienware F model, as I think it's amazing. I see the price of the F model has gone back up to full price :( If I can get a deal like someone else mentioned for around £650 i will be all over it!

Dell never did collect the 3423DW from me so I still have two of them, and am only using one. I sent them a message by reply to say I am going to dispose of it by 01/10 if I don't hear anything further.

It had a dead pixel near the centre but otherwise worked well enough I think, will look at selling it on after 01/10 but probably local due to the size/weight.

I imagine even without a warranty, this would be worth a little, few hundred £ maybe.

PCMonitors.info @PCM2 still values the gsync module over freesync for things like this:

Well it could have been true if only Gsync implementation on DW was correct. The main advantage of having a gsync module is the ability for the screen to change gamma on the fly - thus, eliminating VRR flicker. Dell chose not to do so and DW still flickers like hell so there really is no reason to have physical module inside.
In hindsight, I regret getting the DW and not waiting for DWF - the fan is so annoying with no real benefit.

Hassle free sale. £100 and I will arrange pickup. Do we have a deal? :p:cry:

They were only offering a two year warranty to start with, it's just that they've now included the burn in part.

Cool. Get me 3 years LG and happy to buy your monitor next, assuming it is as competitive as the Alienware anyway.

Saying that I would still pay a small amount extra to go Alienware due to next day replacement. Who knows how long LG takes.

Great thing with Alienware is they send out the replacement before you send the rmaunit back. So assuming your monitor you are doing an RMA on still turns on, there is no downtime, so much better than some other brands where you have to send the rma back first then wait weeks for a new monitor

In my case the downside to that is you end up spending 2 weeks comparing the colour on the screens

Seriously though, I prefer it that way excellent service

I had something like that happen with the dell 3415, they sent me two. I kept one in a box for a year to see if they would pick it up or contact me. They did not. I sold it for some lovely Spondulicks.
