Dude, do some heroics!

Trying to get into a raid with an iLvl of 615 is the absolute definition of being boosted/carried :D
 
Got my email last night :)

Thought it was a scam at first, one bronze orc statue coming my way at some point.

Had a continuous sub for the last 10 years for wow.

Nice to get a physical gift as I thought the mount from mc & the pet were a bit pathetic really.

Personally I think the whole thing sucks, if you bought the game 59 days after launch you get a nice shiney thing, if you bought it 60 days after launch you just get a warm fuzzy feeling from knowing your subs have paid to give others nice shiney things.

And it's not sour grapes, either way I would prefer the money had been spent adding more content to the game.
 
I started my account on EU release day and thought I was sorted for a statue.....but didn't get an email so checked my account and it seems I took a 3 month break in 2006! Its a bit annoying, but Blizzard have to put a cut-off somewhere and so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

If you're bothered about it you should contact them. I've found Blizzard support are always fairly lenient and they may turn around and say you can have a statue, and if not, you've not lost anything by asking.

That should tell you enough about how valued people feel getting the statue :)

They have to have a cut off point so theres always gonna be someone who gets their knickers in a twist over a free gift, yes a gift, a nice gesture, but still someones gotta be aggrieved about it :p

Haha on it now. I'm looking for a guild that raids, not to get into a raid. Waiting in a queue for heroics as we speak :cool:

Edit: Sounded a bit arsey there, I do want to raid, I just know I don't have the gear for it yet!

If your 615 jump into LFR before heroics mate, should get a drop or 2 which are 640 minimum then use heroics to fill the gaps
