***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

Not sure it's for me, I'd imagine those who have a knack for generating a lot of gold can now effectively play for free, which may help those who don't have a whole lot of money but do have a lot of time.

I guess in a weird sort of way it puts a actual value on gold now.

Been a bit disappointed with this expansion and the following changes, I'm starting to feel I'm not the target market anymore if their attention is being focused on integrating Twitter and micromanaging garrisons... Maybe I'm getting old or something :p

I don't get the disillusion over garrisons. I know they are a royal PITA if you have multiple level 100 alts but one char at 100 and you've done everything in 10 mins?

I don't know anything about Twitter integration and I'm sure if it's not your thing you don't have to give it a second thought. The thing about Gold for cash and paying for a level 90 is that it happens anyway, it's not something Blizzard can do anything about, so why put the cash in the hands of a 3rd party?

It the price is good (in gold) I know a few people who will play for free for some time.

It's both a good & bad thing, it means that people with no time - but lots of money can still earn in-game currency, conversely that people with loads of time but no money are able to play.

Eve-Online did this for plex & I thought it was a good idea, some months when I had a good amount of haul from piracy I'd buy a few months plex & get them applied to my account. When coming back from a break & being without any ships to get back into the game I'd buy a plex to get me on my feet again.

Overall I think it's a good change, as whichever side you are on of the coin (lots of time/lots of money) it's not bad. The only people who miss out are those with little time & little money, but if that's the case even they could benefit from being able to afford the odd free month of play.

The intelligent thing is that by having it paid for by in-game gold & using the laws of supply & demand it prevents too much inflation.

I'd probably continue to play if the price for one month in gold wasn't crazy but the likelihood is it will be, is there much point paying with gold if it requires you to spend most of that game time farming for it.

You can easily make a lot of gold just by spending a little while at the auction house buying and selling stuff.

It's just tedious, it is totally uninvolved game play, sometimes seems like my followers are having more to do than I am :p

Oh indeed it can be ignored, same goes for the garrison to a certain extant, I don't plan on making use of it which is fine, but there is nothing else added to the game for those who aren't interested in it.

I really enjoyed the expansion while leveling up but the added content I don't find particularly thrilling... When you consider this was a more expensive expansion than previously too I don't think it's been one of their best.

Sub cancelled, whole expansion feels very lazy and half baked. There just not a whole lot to do outside of the raids (which in themselves dont feel very epic to me personally), 6.1 is just a massive waste of time and the latest 'revelations' with Guldan/Grom tells me the lore has gone downhill even faster than I thought.

Was hoping a swap to DPS would ignite that spark but it wasnt to be, dont think the changes to the guild I was in previously helped either. Oh well, Maybe a 6-12 month break will help :)

Same I am thinking of letting my Sub come to an end and use this time to get caught up on some other gaming. Closed Beta starts for Skyforge on Wednesday might see what that is all about...sure looks fun.

I just found myself logging in for the garrison stuff and thats about it

Shame that you're quitting but the "guild" is doing great now.
