***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

If you feel your being held back by a raiding recruitment wall your probably on the wrong server.

99% of guilds will take a chance on a person with decent parses, a good application and a good brain in their head. Worked for me this tier as I went from a guild in the 2000s to top 300. However I pulled out of progress raiding for personal reasons.

If your a ranged DPS I'm still looking for ranged to fill my roster for potential Mythic BRF and Mythic come 6.2 ;)

So your solution is for everyone on a med pop server to move to a high pop server? but they don't have enough room for everyone, they will get full.

Though I suppose if Blizzard connected a lot more realms that would make Mythic viable across the board.

After having been off the crack for 2 years is it worth going for warlords of draenor? I got bored before I was an end game raider.

Stay away, if you found it boring before its even worse now. The latest expansion looked promising but the dumbed down abilities, lack of content, the usual unbalanced PvP, pointless garrison stuff just makes it boring.

flying coming back in 6.2.x but ya will have to do a little work for it :p

Glad im unsubbed if im honest, developers have so much passion for their vision only to flip flop around with every whim of the community is what led to this mess, so patch up this problem will just teach people that the louder you whine the more chance there is of getting what you want.

The not having flying was one of the best changes they could have made, so reverting that has kinda put me off coming back. World is just dead in this game, everyone just sits around in the city or their garrison now, teleporting to whatever instance they didnt have to create a group for and then teleporting back. Doesnt feel like a big persistent world now, may aswell all just be instanced.

Damn, a friend is tempting me to start playing again with him just doing old content. I think I'll give it a miss though....

Ignore the criticisms from jaded players - garrisons are very fun at the start. The levelling from 90-100 is also the best of any expansion. You'll become fed up as everybody does at endgame, but you still have more than enough to tide you over for a few months (so long as you aren't on it for 8 hours a day).

Quite surprised by the amount of people complaining that Mythic is easy - Blackhand was an absolute brick wall for a long long time.

Am I the only one who missed fighting over instance summoning stones? Not just the ones at raids. I know that this has been essentially out of the game since wrath, but as someone who started in that expansion, it was a hell of a time fighting for control of a stone.

Been unsubbed for a few months now. May return for 6.2 but i think this expansion is one to forget really.

Lets hope they can come back and not let this great game go down the craper completely

The problem isn't that it's easy, the problem is that it's the same difficulty as heroic was in Cata/MoP. Which means many guild kill everything up to it and then cannot progress further because you need 20 people to do that and you don't have 20 people.

The sad thing about all this is that the are so many people defending Blizzard on the mythic debacle when they're being hurt by it too, Blizzard have the playerbase divided on this when in reality it is bad for the entire player base, the only people who have benefitted from mythic 20m are Blizzard who have less work to do.

With the rate that mythic participation is falling over the course of WoD we are going to see more and more guilds disband, more and more raiders quit, more and more cancelled raids and it is just going to get worse and worse as we head towards the end of the expansion.

Considered logging in today via the 'Reactivate Now with Gold' option... Couldn't quite bring myself to click it. :p

Is there much fluctuation on price on these? Currently it wants me to pay 49,084 and I'm a lazy gold collector.

Sounds like a good decision and compromise to me. If enough people 'whine' then there is a good chance there is an issue.

Not always.

Design by committee, focus groups, or whatever else you want to call it is not without its own problems.

Often what players think they want is what their last game had. So for a start, focus groups tend to breed homogeneous games.

Then there are studies which show that focus groups often get it completely wrong, when coming up with ideas for new products. Often they will say that X is a great idea and would pay for it, but when X becomes a reality, there is little or no demand for it all at.

That's just for starters. If you do a bit of Googling, you will find that many designers are coming out against focus groups and that kind of thing, because it has led to so many bad decisions and product failures.

Basically, you hire a good designer because he's a good designer. You shouldn't then listen to your customers and ignore what your designer is telling you. Because customers are often confused about what they want, and don't know if they'd like something new that they've not yet experienced.
