***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

The game has been casualised, why would anything be hard? They lose too many subs that way

I'm just glad I got my gametime of WoW in back in the "glory days" before it all started dying off

Yea, it's very casual now. But hey ho. Something to do.

So, lets say, we hit 80. DING, then what?

Where do we go? We both have our hearths set in that place with all the portals... But where to we start off?

Well, you got either Mount Hyjal or Vashjr (Naga place), 80 onwards is so linear.

Eh?

It's always been instanced no?

I too play rogue, hope it's not utterly useless in PVP. Remember topping the boards in AV many moons ago. Great fun.

Well not only were bgs not available from the start, but even when they were you still had to go queue up at the actual bg, and travel to the instances etc so people could gank you in black rock mountain or sorrow hill.

All of the finders and such ruined the game for me, its still the best of the mmos but i really do feel they killed the immersion with all the auto forming of groups and teleporting about.

There were a few months after release when there were no (I forget the names) instances, and PvP was rife in the zones. Well, as long as you were on a PvP server.

My levelling stalled in my teens/20s when I hit ashenvale because the ganking was so much fun. Then the same in my 40s in booty bay.

Ahhhh, yea, I agree. Waiting in Hillsbrad or what ever it was, up north to get into BG's, I too think they killed it making the group stuff too accessible from anywhere.

Really miss traveling 30 mins to be greeted by a huge group of people. But now... Sit in a capital, twiddling thumbs, group, dungeons, done, rinse and repeat.

I played vanilla too, BC was awesome, but it was clear they were going down the easy route.

It would take you well over a month to get full 695 gear from Apexis, and even then you want proper stats on the baleful rolls. Each upgrade token is 20k Apexis and after the Apexis event this weekend, farming them is much slower and it's also extremely tedious.

For anyone who hasnt downloaded the Warcraft movie VR app for their smartphone, some kind soul has uploaded it to youtube.

Its just a brief flyover of the movie version of stormwind. If you have an occulus do yourself a favour :)

for some reason the embedded version here doesnt have the 360degree view wheel so look it up in youtube, check if your browser supports 360 degree video playback

Tip no.1, buy a game token and sell it on AH, your first 47k + gold.

Dependent on market...

I bought some gold for about £12. 50k as I was not about to drop a bunch of money for some teenager in a call centre to click a few buttons to move my character with all my money from my 'home' server which is now DEAD on the Horde side. It's insane. I was the only person in Oggy... Why don't they merge more servers? It's clearly needed.

Anyway, the 50k got me some more heirlooms, bags and a few bits and bobs for my char, my gf's char and my auction house char (always have one) and now I've got 25k sat for when I reach lv 90 and no doubt will spend it leveling up professions.
