***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

1. Do the WoD progression Quest line in Blasted Lands if your freshly lvl90, the items you get are all fairly decent, especially the trinket.

2. I paid £24 for WoD from G2A, havent had the key yet but they say it'll be a few days before release, so still time to wait

3. If you lvl a character via the free boost to 90 and the character is below lvl60 then it will not boost their professions, however if the character is lvl60 or higher then their professions also get boosted. This was confirmed to me by a guildy.

Christ is it £17 for a character transfer these days!

I've got at least 5 level 90's I want to move to my new home server. Damn!

Question: is your Garrison account wide? So my characters on all servers can benefit from the same one?

Its per character i believe for Garrisons, but the way they work means you can specialise in your characters main profession and still have the garrison setup for a secondary profession(s)

Having it setup to enhance your main profession means you get access to better stuff and also faster turn around on making stuff i think, but i believe you can also have access to other profs if setup for it just not as specialised as someone who has the prof

Example my DK is Mining / JC, i believe i can get the top tier crafted stuff if i setup my Garrison with a JC bit, and it makes it a lot faster, but i could also add herbs and alchemy to it and make lower tier potions etc.

The way i read it recently is if i have the profession learned on my toon and my garrison geared for it, i can get 16 mats a day, if i have it learned on my toon but not on my garrison i can get 10 mats a day, if i have just on my garrison 6 mats a day.

I could be well wrong on this though but i have been reading a fair bit of WoD Garrison profession stuff as thats what im mainly looking forward to the most.

Blizzard have screwed me over a bit. Was away from WOW for 3 years but decided to give it another whirl after my eldest daughter showed some interest. Took advantage of a cheap offer for MOP as I had abandoned at Cata previously. That led me down a path of creating another account yet linked to the same Battle.net account. So I have ended up with my old account which has a load of characters including Priest 90, Hunter 89, Pally 85, Shammy 85, DK 70, Druid 65

and a second account with my daughters 90 Rogue and a 90 Monk. Asked if they could merge them. Answer= NO but you can character transfer at £17 a go. Currently undecided now if I want to do WOD. I certainly aint paying £34 *2 and the subs.

Shame as I had quite enjoyed the last month or so.

To me it looks like you should have upgraded your Cata account instead of creating another account?

Yeah you are pretty much on point as far as I know, If you take a profession you don't have you get access to some stuff but not the top end stuff you would get if you had the profession as well.

they have also made it so that all the top end stuff requires materials from EACH profession so you will basically need to run more than one garrison or have enough alts to support mains.

Personally i plan on having a couple of fully upgraded garrisons, i cant remember from the beta tho if the plans become account wide once you purchase them the first time but that would save a lot of time (and gold) the 2nd time round

Blizzcon today! :D

Cant wait :D virtual ticket bought, gonna be a fun weekend and to top it all off metallica closing it all out!

Can someone explain the raid lockouts in simplest terms as possible? I thought 10 and 25 had separate lockouts now.

I killed 4 bosses on 25 Heroic Blackwing Descent but it won't let me do 10 normal Blackwing Descent from the start. When I enter it switches to 25 HC.

At the end of wrath, getting ready for cata. Lockouts became shared. As in cata 10 and 25 man raids shared item level and loot. So you get 1 lockout a week per character regardless of difficulty.

In mop. Lfr and flex each had their own lockout. Only the normal and heroic ones were shared. Need to double check how it will be in WoD.

I vaguely recall reading something but for clarity, is profession levelling being simplified/made easier come WoD?

Putting effort into levelling as I go but won't bother if it's being simplified shortly!

Normal and Heroic will be like LFR where the lockouts are per boss (and separate for the difficulty). I.E. You can kill a boss multiple times per difficulty but you are only eligible for loot once a week from it.

Mythic uses the old school raid id's, only unsaved people can join your ID once a boss is killed.

You will be able to level all professions from 1 to 700 just from Draenor gathering/materials (like you can currently do with herbing and mining, skill just determines how much you get from each node, not whether you can gather it at all).

The actual crafting professions (tailoring etc) have things to make to aid levelling the profession using mats from Draenor.

Pre-MoP raids are shared lockouts for the size. You'd probably be able to switch to 10 man heroic or maybe 25 man normal and continue from where you were.

Not sure how I missed it - but I'm totally disappointed that garrisons aren't guild house :(

I've only been catching bits of news, but I was completely of the opinion that they were guild houses that you all contributed too in order to get resources for the guild.

Turns out, it's just an extension of the mind-numbingly tedious farm and is a solo experience. Our small guild of 5 were quite looking forward to it!

People in your party or group can visit your garrison and be in the same phased content as the party lead, so it will still be great for RP'ers etc, its just not full scale player housing like Wildstar
