worst thing about MoP is the lack of new dungeons. And LFR raids. I hope they get rid of LFR altogether. its another reason to sit in town and do nothing.

i dont think MoP will become part of standard WoW before WoD comes out. Cata was
only recently made part of it, and its been a year of MoP.

Another question (sorry!) - are the vanilla instances still the same? Back in my days, 7 years ago, they were as follows by level:

15 - Ragefire Chasm (Horde)
20 - Deadmines (Ally), Wailing Caverns (Horde)
25 - Stockade (Ally), Blackfathom Deeps (Horde)
30 - Gnomer (Ally), Razorfen Kraul/Downs (Horde)
35 - Scarlet Monastery
40 - Uldaman
45 - Zul'Farak
50 - Marauden
55 - Sunken Temple
60 - Blackrock Depths

Tier 0 - Scholomance, Stratholme, Dire Maul, Blackrock Spire
Tier 0.5 - Zul'Gurub, AQ20
Tier 1 - Molten Core
Tier 2 - Blackwing Lair, Onyxia, AQ40
Tier 3 - Naxx (the only place I never saw)

they have changed a lot of them. for example ST is now much smaller. SM is 4 wings now. and then theres the lvl 85 versions of DM and SM that came about in Cata. Also Scholomance is different, and Stratholme isnt lvl 60 anymore, I think they lowered it to 50s.

Naxx40 was abolished, its a 25/10 raid (lvl 80) in Northrend.

The untouched ones are BRD, Marauden, Gnomeregan. Stockades has new bosses. (Hogger)

Thanks Hedgey.

Didn't know that Hogger have moved to Stocks. He was a level 9 boss in some wooded area just outside Stormwind back in my time hehe! Can DM still be done at ~L20 as well as 85? I guess with Strat moving to 50s, that's because the game no longer ends at 60, and that you do the end-game raiding at 85 instead of 60. Glad some instances remain untouched. Is it still possible to go into MC, BWL, Ony etc and gank it just for a laugh? :)

They changed BRD and Mara though for the most part they're now split into 3 separate instances (as nobody travels there in a group now) so no more 4 hour long BRD groups.

Noxia, what do you mean by Ony no longer being in SW (Stormwind)? I thought the instance was called Onyxia's Lair? Edit: you meant the human girl form of Ony in SW IIRC?

Shame about JB though - that was a great (and challenging) quest. Probably the best one out of the escort-type quests.

Thanks for the responses though guys. Great to see what's the same and what's gone.

the best quest in WoW is the rogue legendary daggers quest. going into battle with that boss was like nothing ive ever done before. dropped out of the sky like batman!

If the Dark portal is going to link to old Draenor, does this mean that Outlands will disappear as a level 60-70 area?

That might be the greatest thing ever if so.

It was alright when TBC was king, nowadays it just feels dated and a right drag. Same with Northrend - it was okay when doing 80-90, now it just needs ripping up and replacing with 2-3 areas the length of one of the Azeroth areas each.

I mean it still takes just as long to do 60-70 and 70-80 as it does to do 1-60. Surely there's something wrong there? :p

you can get through Outland and into Northrend by doing dungeons/bg's and questing through Hellfire, by the time you have completed Hellfire's quest acheviement you'll be ready to jump to Northrend.

Both level grinds are much much quicker than the 1-60

Er, HFP does not give you ten levels worth of XP at L60-70, even if you do the Dungeons there too!

Best i've managed is L70 in Nagrand (HFP-Zangarmarsh-Terrokar-Nagrand). And, given that I like to take my time a bit and enjoy levelling that's normally about 5-6 days, the same as it takes me to take my time and level from 1-60.

I expect if you extrapolate for someone who likes to level at pace, 60-70 still takes just as long as 1-60.
