Er, HFP does not give you ten levels worth of XP at L60-70, even if you do the Dungeons there too!

Best i've managed is L70 in Nagrand (HFP-Zangarmarsh-Terrokar-Nagrand). And, given that I like to take my time a bit and enjoy levelling that's normally about 5-6 days, the same as it takes me to take my time and level from 1-60.

I expect if you extrapolate for someone who likes to level at pace, 60-70 still takes just as long as 1-60.

If you're thorough, do all group Qs and utilise rested XP you can go 59-70 by doing HFP, ZM and Nagrand only. If you're playing a Monk you'll have room to spare.

Hopefully they're going to add new BS and JC levelling recipes or mats vendors, or Fel Iron and Adamantite are going to go through the roof.

You know you can go to Northrend at 68 yeah, aslong as you are doing the HFP quests and queuing for dungeons/bgs at the same time you will get to Northrend just as you are finishing up/2 or 3 quests worth in Nagraad (the faction stuff to unlock the cooking recipes usually).

Hell you can get to 90 with 8 or 9 days played now.

Why?

I do know they are removing gemming from most armor peices in WoD, same as they are removing the majority of armor/wep enchants.

so what are JC's going to do now?

or inscription for that matter?

just go to max lvl on JC and its a waste of time as far as i can see....!

Hmmm, Cannot see that they would remove most of the gem slots and destroy a whole profession. I'll wait and reserve judgement on that one.

It's the same reasoning behind removing reforging - they want people to be able to equip a drop and use it straight away, no reforging it, enchanting it and gemming it.

its amazing how much misinformation can come from blizzcon, and how many things dont get noticed when mentioned on panels etc.

1st they are removing meta gems from helms and the majority of sockets on gear.

To compensate for this JC will be able to craft much more powerful gems, possibly with random procs (bit like the legendary gems).

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/10587068611?page=1#9

They will also be able to craft a wider selection of raid level rings, necks etc.

2nd while most enchants are being removed, enchanting will now be able to craft enchants based on what stats you want on your items.

Want a runspeed/stamina enchant? Craft one, want an intellect/reduce fall damage (not sure why) then craft one.

Whilst these are only examples the only thing which is guaranteed is that the cost for top end gems and enchants will sky rocket.

Enchanters will also be able to craft offhands/wands etc which was mentioned at blizzcon.

For inscription im assuming they will continue to be able to make trinkets, possibly staffs, offhands etc.

Armour will be the primary tanking stat in WoD and you will only find it on tanking gear. Im assuming stamina stacking will be more prevelant now with the item squish tanks will be more keen to increase their HP.

They were also talking about making stats more useful to all tanking classes rather than just some, haste for example is all but useless for warriors but verging on great for dk's / pallys.

Im interested to see what the ores / herbs will be. Im assuming they will make new ones, otherwise anyone who stockpiles TBC ingredients could be very rich indeed :p

Correct and the term you are looking for is 'active mitigation'

I've got another term for it but I'll keep it to myself :p

I remember adapt conversation I had with the other class leader at the end of TBC taking the p at how simple they were making things.

Scarily with no stats bar the basic, insta level 90's the only thing missing is the "I win" 1 click boss kill button :p

I'm glad I didn't rush back into this as I'm being put off again, still a good game but not for me anymore I think.

I have tried to stay out of the whole bickering thing and as a still active semi hard raider (4 hc SoO) i am quite looking forward to it all.

Cata for me was the worst expansion but i am enjoying MoP. Enjoyed WoLK with TBC a very close 1st on the expansion list.

I think the stream lining of professions is a good thing along with the whole removing reforging. Reasoning behind this is the whole change this stat, change that stat and regem every time i get a new bit of kit. Although i am a sad arse and have a reforge mount :) Then regem and although i can do most of the stuff myself i still have to log 6 different chars to gem a new piece of Hc gear.....

The idea behind Scripters and JC being able to make high level items suits me as i level my professions on my chars as quickly as i can so that i can self support myself etc

I think every expansion has make the game better as well as worse so we are all stuck between a rock and "hearth" place!!!

Roll on, i do feel as if i gettting to a stage when i need to think about stopping playing as i am 36 next year, but the whole WOW concept has still got my attention and i log pretty much most days for an hour to do farming on all my chars, level rep for my enchanter and try do some achievments on my main.

Noxia, what do you mean by Ony no longer being in SW (Stormwind)? I thought the instance was called Onyxia's Lair? Edit: you meant the human girl form of Ony in SW IIRC?

Shame about JB though - that was a great (and challenging) quest. Probably the best one out of the escort-type quests.

Thanks for the responses though guys. Great to see what's the same and what's gone.

Already confirmed but yes as she isn't in SW in her human form then the whole quest couldn't be done because obviously there was nobody there to challenge lol.

The whole ony quest chain as the best in the game, can't think of one that came close, maybe Tirion Fordrings chain that gave you his story. Although I did like Akama's(??) from bc too

They need to stop bringing more crap expansions and get titan released.
I enjoyed playing wow for years but there's only so long you can play the same game for.
