Worst Game of the Year 2015 - WGOTY!

Now see, this is an interesting thread from my own point of view. I mentioned in the Game of the Year thread that I didnt feel like anything I played this year was stand-out amazing enough for it to leap out at me and warrant me giving it my personal game of the year.

Likewise..nothing I have played this year has been stand-out bad enough to leap out at me and warrant me giving it my personal worst game of the year.

In fact, overall, looking back at the titles I have played in 2015, my summary of this years gaming is... meh.
 
I have to say Metal Gear Solid V, massive let down on a humongous scale :(

Evolve is certainly not the worst, the core gameplay is solid and great fun. It's DLC malarkey was definitley a shot in the foot but to dismiss it due to that is daft as none of it is required.

Battlefront may not be what some of the more hardcore players wanted, but it was always meant to be a more casual-based game, being Star Wars and all. BF3 and BF4 were great, though. Mirror's Edge is coming up and looking pretty hot. And then we'll probably have BF5 by end of next year. Not really seeing it, sorry.

BF3 and 4 were extremely buggy and not ready for release, they are rushing games out these days. Hardline is relevant since it almost certainly would not have happened without EA.

Even considering the poor PC port, in no way could Arkham Knight be considered THE WORST game of the year.

I 100% completed it and thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't perfect, but then neither was Arkham City.

People seem to be confusing 'worst' with 'most disappointing'
 
No, id hardly say a game that was shelved because it plain didnt work was just 'disappointing'.

Let's be sensible, i could produce Pong in VBA and that could be the worst game of the year but draw a line - it obviously should be a game that's supposed to be a triple A release.

Most disappointing is different entirely. That'd be Fallout 4 or Just cause 3 for me. Both missed the mark and were way off potential, imo.
 
Battlefront like hardline has/had potential, the reason it fails is because the developers don't listen to what the majority of the community want and most importantly the hardcore FPS/BF community, if they did, the game(s) would be utterly fantastic for MP anyway. I would probably prefer star wars "overall" to hardline because of the graphics/sounds and star wars theme + being something different whereas hardline "should" have been a DLC pack like vietnam was to BC 2.

Batman Arkham knight actually ran superbly for me once I used Kaiden's tool and overall was relatively pain free to play, the 2nd/3rd last patch broke the game for me big time, just crashing every 5 minutes but since doing a fresh install of windows 10, no crashes and the game runs buttery smooth now. Take away the issues it had and for me it was easily game of the year, superb voice acting/script, great story with a nice twist, best game for combat (boss fights were meh though), second best game for graphics imo (the physics were damn nice too, loved driving the batmobile through walls etc., reminded me of batman begins batmobile scenes), massively detailed world that really felt like Gotham City. Yes there were was too much batmobile stuff but either way it was a fun game and over looking the issues which were fixed a few patches ago, it is far from the worst game imo.

Worst game of the year for me is probably the witcher 3, just so damn boring, awful and clunky combat + movement, crap UI/equip system etc. Fallout 4 is much better.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5, to me there's absolutely no competition from a big name developer for this atrocity of a game. They took a franchise that was quite adored and just flushed it down the toilet with the latest title.
 
Can battlefront be modded. After the success of cs mod and bf mod they more often opened up games to development but Im guessing not many do this now
