Worst Game of the Year 2015 - WGOTY!

BF3 and 4 were extremely buggy and not ready for release, they are rushing games out these days. Hardline is relevant since it almost certainly would not have happened without EA.
BF3 and BF4 were still ultimately great games.

Hardline was not developed by DICE. I have no idea how that game is relevant to your point about DICE going downhill.

Evolve.. Should've been free to play, dreadful!

On the topic of Battlefield, promised myself to never give any more money to the series after BF4 launched as an absolute mess.

Every game they have made since joining EA has been worse than before. They are being forced to rush the games out. As you can see quite clearly if you look at the amount of time they spent making the games. As for hardline, and I know its very hard thing to understand, it would not have existed without EA.

No, id hardly say a game that was shelved because it plain didnt work was just 'disappointing'.

Batman Arkham knight actually ran superbly for me once I used Kaiden's tool and overall was relatively pain free to play, the 2nd/3rd last patch broke the game for me big time, just crashing every 5 minutes but since doing a fresh install of windows 10, no crashes and the game runs buttery smooth now. Take away the issues it had and for me it was easily game of the year, superb voice acting/script, great story with a nice twist, best game for combat (boss fights were meh though), second best game for graphics imo (the physics were damn nice too, loved driving the batmobile through walls etc., reminded me of batman begins batmobile scenes), massively detailed world that really felt like Gotham City. Yes there were was too much batmobile stuff but either way it was a fun game and over looking the issues which were fixed a few patches ago, it is far from the worst game imo.

I 100% completed it at UHD resolution before even the first patch. Though you couldn't download it on steam after a few days, if you had already installed it, you could play it.

OK I had to dedicate a powerful GPU to Physx, and the combination of 16GB of RAM and Titan X VRAM meant it didn't suffer from the memory leaks...I pretty much brute forced it to get past the shoddy port.

But yeah, like Nexus said I thought it was a great game.

Has to be Batman Arkham Knight, surely ?

And a distant second place goes to Fallout 4. Not an utterly terrible game,. but as someone has already mentioned, given Bethesda's resources it should really have been more special.

I'll have some of what you're smoking.

Do you people know what 'worst' means? Worst is not 'played for 60hours but wasn't as good as I remember the last game being', it's something utterly broke, buggy unplayable messes.

People saying mgsv or rocket league.....what?

Something like coast guard. Now that's an actual pile of dung.

BF4 is not objectively worse than BF3. You may feel that way, but BF4 was and still is extremely popular and highly rated for good reason - it's a great game.

And no, there's nothing hard to understand about DICE not developing Hardline, therefore not being relevant at all to your point about DICE going downhill.

Give it a rest, this thread is about the worst games of the year, not why EA is ruining Dice.

Evolve and Atilla, would like to say Fifa 16 as it's just a rehash of Fifa 15, but it's popular amongst most so couldn't be worst.

Arkham Knight as well it was held back for being broken, released broken and remains.... broken.

This has got to go to Arkham Knight. No other game this year messed up as badly as this game did.

And they still haven't fixed it for many.

And no Sli support also.

Seeing as they just gave themselves a best mmo of 2015 award even tho it was released last year I would like to nominate eso.

Grinding 2 weeks for 1 basic random white mat (potency runestone) in pve when pvp players only have to do 5 minutes to earn a choice of which mat they want.

BiS jewellery for pve always being from pvp.

Essential pve skills only being grinded through stupid amounts of grinding pvp.

& to cap it all off theyre going to give pvpers pve rewards for pvping, but not pve'rs pvp rewards for pve.

I don't think 'worst' was defined, so it's subjective. If anything it was described as 'most disappointing' in the OP. Things can be disappointing for reasons other than bugs, like for example, gameplay.

I got bored of Rocket League pretty quickly. Was fun for a while though.

This is all going to be subjective, like is BF4 better than BF3? Down to opinion. Popularity is not really an indication of quality or League of Legends remains the best game around (even if not a 2015 game).

Nobody has mentioned Total war: Atilla yet? My goodness

That's because it is so obvious it doesn't need mentioning :).

Seriously they ruined the Total War series. The last good game in the series was Shogun 2 and then it went to hell. I still prefer the original Rome TW and I want to get Medieval 2 TW again (I lost my CD for it ages ago). Other than that I'm never going to buy another TW game again.

Another vote for Arkham Knight from me.

It still doesn't work properly for me and I can't be bothered to even try getting it working now, after borrowing a friends Ps4 copy and playing through I just gave up, wished I I could get a refund tbh!

Cant believe no one has mentioned Rainbow Six Siege .... VERY disappointing game in my opinion

Why so? We've had a right laugh on this over the last few weeks. I haven't played the original RS games, but this been a great cheap game that's been a welcome change of pace from BF4. In fact we've not even played the latest update because of RSS.

Fallout 4 and Evolve for me.

I don't know how you can put those two games in the same sentence.

Evolve was a buggy, DLC ridden game with hollow mechanics that didn't come anywhere near the promises it made. Right from the open alpha it was obvious that it wasn't going to come up with the goods. It's a totally worthy call for WGOTY.

Fallout 4 whilst I admit is somewhat buggy for some (although with potentially hilarious results, and personally I've only had 1 crash to desktop in 50+ hours), it is by far the superior game. How long did you put in to it? It's massive, like huge. 50+ hours and I've still not explored the southern reaches of the map and I've hardly scratched the surface with companion quests etc. The crafting/upgrades system for armour, weapons and power armour adds a nice twist to it and combat is much improved over FO3.
