x1900 series whos getting one.

x1800 XT plays every game maxed details, and is probably going to be £200+ cheaper than the x1900 by all accounts, also cuts through Fear like a knife through hot butter, why not just get one and save £200+. :)

i certainly wont be buying the x1900XTX gen cards

i just bought a X1800XT Sapphire at christmas and dam it cripples everything i throw at it and then some. 10,3k also flashed to XTPE edition, i have no need for this next gen

i will be doing what i did last year waiting untill around 3rdquarter then getting the X2000XTX, wich will be a true next gen card.

Exactly, go the Sapphire here to, absolutely demolishes everything in its wake, maxed everything, a stonking card.

i was very close to buying the powercolur x1800xt about 3 weeks ago until i found out about the x1900 series cards so i thought id wait and see what these cards are like.
i expect all you x1800 owners are disappointed after finding out about the x1900 i expect you would have waited. And just think the x1900xl will be better than the x1800xt, loudsamoney u must be niffed :p

If they make a X1900XL I may consider it as an upgrade to my current card. I am going to compare the ATI and nVidia range once nVidia make the move to 0.09n. Hpwever, it's all about bang for the buck so £150 to £220ish is my target price. How are things looking in this range Gibbo?

Not at all, ive got a stonking card that throws everything around maxed details as said, the x1900 is just going to do what my x1800 does. :)

Hehe fair point, I've been reading up on my various options for a couple of weeks now, I've now bought the X1800XT, I've been part of the waiting game before, always waiting for the next best thing that's just a month away, it is a vicious cycle and I can't really be bothered with it, at least not when the X1900 is supposed to priced to match the 7800GTX 512mb card anyway, so a good £100 more than the Powercolour X1800XT I bought on special offer (thanks OcUK :))

Another reason is that my system would be totally useless until the end of the month as I don't have any other PCI-E cards, my old card is an AGP 6800GT so not much use in my new board, this was a total move to the S939 platform for my main system, I can't be bothered with waiting really.

Im not gonna go over £450 thats my limit so i may not be able to buy the xtx version, but still at least minimum will be the xt card.
Im so used to playing games on high/max quality i get disappointed if i cant play the game in all its glory. So when i start to play games at meduim settings thats when i know ive got to change my card.
The x1800xt and x1900xt is practically 100% gonna play all the games this year at max settings but i expect ppl will still think about getting dx10 cards :)

If the X1900 is faster than a 7800GTX512 + also cheaper £££ to gain market share then I may get one as ATI have much better image quality than Nvidia by far + HDR & AA capable.

When Nvidia respond will no doubt cost £500-550 + shortgages again which will be overkill if the X1900 handles current & near future titles smoothly.

Ive been thinking about when i do get the x1900xtx i know my cpu will be quite bottlenecked (or whatever the word is) and i was wondering if this is a very serious performance problem. Is anyone else worried about that, so i was thinking if i upgraded my cpu what would i have to get so there would be no bottleneck.

I currently have the 3700 san deigo, if i have to buy a fx cpu then i wont bother getting a new cpu.

For the past couple of years, ive always stayed on the edge with Ati Graphics cards.

I think its time to hold off a few revisions now as what im finding is the card i replace (which goes in my second machine) performs as good as or near dam it to the card ive just bought.

its a great feeling to get hold of the latest and greatest, but its just getting silly now and i cant see any benifits unless your games demand it.

I run the Belinea TFT and at 1680*1050 with high AA/AF The X1800XT runs all the top end games fine

Ive started thinking the same about CPU's aswell

Ive had the FX55 since release and ran it at stock for a year and have now just overclocked to 2.8 and to be honest there isnt any speed gains from stock to 2.8 in games that i can notice.
