I wont be upgradeing to this X1900XT or XTX

i have a X1800XT i bought around christmas time and it does 10,3k with slight overclock...

would be a waste of money for me to update, im waiting on X2000XTX :)

Agreed x1900 does the same as our x1800's, runs games maxed, whoops apart from that 1x shader intensive one (which is the only one i can think off), forgot about that, it will run that one better. :p

The real next gen appear in the summer, so you may as well just get an x1800 and save some cash as by the time the next gen cards are here, there may still be only that 1x shader intensive game, so your not going to miss much by getting an x1800, or wait for the real next gen. :)

ATi has revealed that Radeon X1900 XTX will require at least 450W PSU with 30A in 12V rail.

I assume they're talking combined rails, which makes it a far less scary number. I don't know of any recent power supply out there that can shove 30Amps down a 12V rail, nevermind 38.

ok.. im not that good with electricity and power...

ill be ok with my psu right?

hiper type r 580w modular

Yup, i'd guess you'll be fine. That supply has 1 12v rail rated at 20A and the other at 18A. Which funnily enough is better than the 2x18A on my Seasonic 600Watt job

HI there

I shall be putting one in the OcUK FX59 system tomorrow and shall be giving it a thorough benchmarking and playing with to see how fast it really is. :D Only in single card mode though as Master cards not yet available.

more x1900 news....

"A single card can score 11000+ in 3Dmark05 which is faster than both single Geforce 7800 GTX 512 card and Radeon X1800 XT including the overclocked ones. "

The Inq.

Can never be too sure when it comes to the inq

Hi there

Well off to a rocky start this morning as our ATI man had the card in his car last and this morning and did a bit of spirited driving, resulting in a slightly bent card which was refusing to post.

After touching the card and gently bending it back it is firing up again. Using very early ATI drivers and already the results are very impressive. :D

So the x1900xtx cards are gonna be around the £500 pound mark as per what Gibbo was hinting at, but what are the likely prices of the x1900xt? And I assume x1800 prices will stay much the same for like 1month after the x1900s come out?
