As its single threaded I am not to sure you would notice much if any increase (not that I know too much about the different Intel chips at the moment.)
All Egosoft have mentioned about TNBT (thing next big thing) is that is a space sim/sandbox game. No one knows if its set in a new uni or set in the X uni but in a different time.

Only if you go out of sector and exploit the mobile mining bug. Nothing wrong with a bit of nvidium mining
No just jump strait to TC.
The two games are very similar except TC has
More sectors
More ships and new ship classes
New races\factions
More weapon types
More Missions \ plots
A reworked interface (this makes is slightly more noob friendly)
The only thing you might want to do at some point is play through the plot in reunion. This wont take long as its quite short but is good if you want to know how\why the Terran's are so different to all the other races.

Don't forget anything packing plasma burst generators (flamethrowers), hyperion vanguards and vidars are also massively powerful.
Once you get to that point you can self limit yourself to certain classes of ship or race, or play a game in character. Personally I wouldn't say it was a game breaker.
But do make the invasion missions where 20 or so M2's jump in sector a bit more doable.

What start did you chose the pointers will be different for each one.
On a side note i fail as Dead is Dead, died 3 times now 1st to FF, 2nd a Un-lucky missile and finnaly last night i crashed into the m6 i was pwning. Thats it im taking a break and going for a nice easy poisoned parinid start.
Maybe there lazy, or they got Avd weapons but havn't be trading for 500 years so never work on that side
What i'm trying to say is terrans have only just came to the X Universe so while they keep making new weapons there was so reason for them to develop trade software well that my way of thinking

Trading MK3 is a telardi invention and as such is only sold by the them. You can also buy it from the Terra corp hq (they must have done a deal with the telardi to supply the software in argon space.)
hey all, just downloaded this from steam. i have started as the terran, enjoying it so far, seems like a good winter game to while away the dark evenings.
I have a quick question, i have just been given a new ship an m5 i think am i best off using this and selling the old one or keep both ??

If I remember right, that M5 that they give you is quite a bit worse than the starting ship (an M4?).
Either way at that point in the game its probably best to sell the worse ship and use the credits elsewhere. M5s have such low shields making them pretty useless as AI wingmen at that stage in the game. Just having one or two of them doesn't make much of a difference and they go down so quickly that you will be cursing the loss of credits.
Until I had spare money and was building up some support wings, I only kept one of the really fast M5s that I used for mapping out the universe and getting from A-B quickly without a jumpdrive.
