its ingame but you need to buy the "explore software" teladi equipment docks seem to be one of the few places which sell it i bought mine from CEO'S BUCKZOID

theres a mod which improves the satelite deployer code and the same guy did the auto-explore to make it so it keeps exploring all the sectors on its own rather than you having to tell it to explore a system and then manually tell it to do another.

if you've got a missile capable ship or a remotley capable M3 then it poses no threat, whacking it in Argon space will get you some brownie points with the authorities so have at it

What is a good fighter to buy when I have enough dough, Only got my run away/explore M5 ship at the moment the rest of mine are freighters I think my M5 is from the Italian sector

i fly a slow m5 also, but she punches hard and i've had fun against m5's m4s and various ts and tps in it, an m3 seems to have the measure of me if I approach it wrong now, but such is life.

I flew about and collected up the absent fleet lying in space, and plan to use them around argon prime etc at some stage

Now to rebuild my assets to start building factories!

the Nova Raider's a good compromise, hull's not bad, shielding's about par for the course. can mount some decent weaponry & has a very useful choice of missiles at it's disposal. if you cruise around Argon space enough, you should be able to pick one up secondhand, break out the repair laser & you'll get a damn fine fighter & save your self some wedge in the process.

Is there any other method of repairing ships bar getting out into space and doing it yourself? (excluding paying at a dockyard for one that is)

you can SETA repair if it's a big ship, basically you eject the SETA unit from your ship, then eject from the ship & fly your space suit over to the ejected SETA unit, the SETA unit will attach to your space suit. start repairing your target ship, hit your SETA button whilst using the repair laser, & bobs your uncle, mega quick repair. just be advised that your suit has a time limit on it's oxygen ( which i can't remember what it is atm ).

there are scripts that add repair drones that will speed up repairs

Can't you buy a big repair lazer for some ships and install it in a weapons slot?

Could maybe have a well shielded and energy stocked ship to jump in and repair you then jump back to safety?

Some one may of created a mod to do just that you would have to check.

Someone did create a script for this on the egosoft forums, check the script database for more info. I know it existed as I was using it, I just can't remember who made it.

hmm where are the stats regarding ships one once owned and now appear to be missing?
I see to have lost some due to shipping accidents in Argon prime, but can't seem to find any record of the beasts.

Have a look at your message log. It will tell you how your ai ships got destroyed. press P then M (I think) to bring it up.

at the top[ left click personal > my message log

tells u in there when any ships get popped, might be spammed with requests for shield upgrades though

i usually buy the ship version with the shield upgrades equipped already so i don get spammed

Its all done in the HQ which you unlock doing certain missions.
