X3:Terran Conflict has arrived

I was wondering why when I fired a poltergeist missile the warheads showed up as enemies on my gravidar? Confused the hell outa me at first.

If you buy an equipment doc, or a trading station can you regulate what is sold from it, or do you just get to set prices in accordance with the standard sales items for that race.

Heh, I built a massive complex in the unknown sector previous mentioned and I am gettng rather few customers at the moment, any way to improve this?

Equipment doc and trading station, can be setup to buy sell any ware you want. (i think you must have at least 1 of the ware you want to use in your cargo hold in order to add it)

The only thing they cant sell is software.

What type of complex have you built? Some stuff just isnt popular

how long has it been there? I can take awhile for news to spread about your complex.

Are you selling to high? If its to high they wont buy.

Are all your customers having to pass through a Xenon sector to reach you?

things you can do:

1) drop the price, to attract customers.
2) wait, it could be that ships are on the way
3) eliminate the competition, then they have no choice but to come to you.

Its the start of a weed and booze complex copying exactly what VoG did on page 43 (Stealing ideas, but mainly as a tster for the concept)

Maybe it'll just take time.

I can eliminate the competition after lots of money is made to buy the m1 m2 fleet to do so :)

A m8 will flatten a station quicker than any M2 and at a fraction of the cost, it is even possible to do so without any rep loss.

System now selling on v nicely, simply was a case of waiting for them to find it and purchase from it :)

Can one eventually claim an unknown sector? :P
Might as well think big.
I had to take out several khakk clusters in order to build here, i think i better use some of the profits making patrol squadrons.

I started the hub quest line, and unless I am very much mistaken, this is going to take an incredibly long period of time in which to complete.

Done computer parts, now onto microchips, and even obtaining 500 of them is looking to be a slow ardous process.

Where do people suggest realigning gates when that option becomes available?

thats down to personal preference, a lot of folks go Home of Light/Argon Prime, or Legends Home/Akeela's Beacon to make equiping ships with jump drives easier. i personally went for Heretic's End/Asteroid Belt, to increase NPC traffic into Terran space & to try & shore up the Terran economy, until such time as Terran factories became available to buy. it also helped to bring NPC's into my complex in AB, & made life a little easier for my UT's to roam Terran space.

I am right in saying that you get 3 switches by end of the hub questline, one near the start and two on completion?

So if I set argon prime to home of light, any ship flying south out of prime will end up in my hub, and then progress south through my hub into home of light?

So one could jump a TL with all manner of illegal products into the hub station, stock well up, and sell to passing NPCs?

you do indeed get 3 switches in that order, and thats exactly how the hub works, as for selling all manner of naughty stuff to passing NPC's you could indeed do that from the hub station itself, never bothered trying it myself tho, so i couldn't comment on how viable it is as a method of income generation. just remember tho your customers will be deep in Argon territory carrying contraband, that might be enough to put paid to any substantial profitsssssss.

My supercomplex is now developing issues regarding docking.
Tedaldi M3/M4 trading ships are docking but never undocking.
I now appear to have 11 or so of them attached to my landing ports, and each hour the figure increases by one more ship.

I have plenty of stock, in fact so much the factories are taking a break, but these guys fly in and don't buy, just sit there.

Can i shift them on, or encourage them to actually purchase something?

Try changing the stations friend foe settings to make Telardi enemies, this should make the station kick them out. Remember to set it back when you are done.

For all of you's still struggling with where to put a complex, try putting a 1MJ shield complex in Argon Prime, I can't produce enough to meet demand:p.

- 2X 1MJ shield complex
- 1 Cahoona Bakery M
- 1 Cattle Ranch M

Costs around 4.5million.

All it needs is Ore and Energy, energy you can get from the Wall next door and Ore can be produced for free if you place a Large Ore Mine in Herron's Nebula or get imported from Ore Belt. I currently have a Large SSP complex in Home of Light which produces more than enough energy for this complex, 3 Mines and an IRE complex in Argon Prime. I will be placing another Shield complex in Kingdom End as soon as I have built another SSP complex. Am really enjoying the economy in this game, soon I will have enough creditsss for some M3's to be my first fighter wing as I stupidly placed an Ore mine in Ianemus Zura and my tranporters are getting harassed. My 20 lasertowers are now down to 12!

Can you automate cargo delivery.

I have a complex that supplies 10 teladium foundries.
I need to move the produced teladium 2 jumps, can i somehow automate the task using mercuries, or is there a method to load stacks of gear onto a TL and then offload it at the other end?

you can indeed automate cargo delivery, if you've got the bonus pack installed.

command console -> Trade -> Start external commodity logistics -> Way points -> Add station -> Load ( insert commodity you want your ship to load ) -> Add station -> Unload

there are other options to take care off, such as jump threshold, minimum e-cell count, etc.
