Just bought my first L miner. Will set it just for Nvidium and see how it gets on.

Hmm, think it ended up at 2.5 mil, but only because I added a load of upgrades. Stock it was closer to 1.5 I think. There are lots of variants around though at different prices.

Hmm, my miners have all gone wrong. They all seeed to have dived down to the bottom of the map and stayed there

Yeah, that seems to have helped. How big to you set their jump ranges?
I got them to dump their wares and reset them. They need to improve this in a patch.

Get a M Miner instead once u have about 600k that will leave u some money and set it to mine nvidium with a 3 sector jump range and you will get about 250k each time it sells, its not fast but it will help you can do it again and again.

How are you finding this? Loved all the X games up to Rebirth, Rebirth is the reason I've not already bought this
It basically takes the good things from rebirth (improved graphics, ship/station scale, the first person aspect like being able to stand on the platform and bridge of ships) and combines them with X3. I have enjoyed it so far. The recent patches have fixed many of the initial problems. There is stuff missing, but I have no doubt they will work hard on this.

Needs a lot of patching I'm thinking they needed the money its not as bad as rebirth but there are issue's.
Totally dumb path finding
Lack of enemies even with the lastest patch it seems to die down after a while
An X game wouldn't be an X game without issues. Egosoft have always released buggy messes that most of the time turn out great after several patches.

shipyards sit with full resources
all of them, seems the factions can't build ships for some reason only ones the player requests, so they never recover from war and keep fighting. just wait and wait for ships that never come.

What I don’t get is how they can establish a great economy in previous games and then mess it up in a sequel. I am sure it will get there eventually - so far my miners and traders aren’t having too much difficulty. What they need are more wares that civilians and stations use - it shouldn’t take a war for the economy to work, it is like ford not being able to sell cars during peace time.
I remember in previous games you could put down a space fuel complex in an empty system and watch it populate with ships and count the profits. I struggle to imagine that happening in this game currently.
the economy was fake in the old games in this they are making a proper simulation that would probably work fine if the factions could replace their ships.
I just found 5 xenon destroyers attacking a khaak station, got satellites everywhere.
its the only fighting in my game, no one else has enough ships to fight anything.
wish I could SETA and see what they do after this station dies but seems they will spend the next few days killing it.

Found an abandoned Paranid destroyer in Faulty Logic VII. It's pretty nice, but I don't have any real use for it. I just set it to Patrol in Grand Exchange, and it's doing loops around the universe with some fighters parked on the flight deck. So it's now my flagship, and I just control my assets from there. I hang out on the flight deck, watching the universe pass by, occasionally hopping into a fighter to go shoot stuff.
Also, I have discovered that crystal mining is hands-down the quickest way to make money. Look for glints in asteroid fields, fly up to them, shoot the crystals, and hoover up what breaks off. Sell the crystals at any station trader. Some sectors are better than others. Grand Exchange is pretty poor, but Second Contact has loads of crystals. Nopelios' Fortune is crap for crystal mining, which surprised me, with it being a lawless sector crammed with asteroids.

Go to heretics end, loads there and a lot of asteroids as well
