X4 Foundations

Tried that. Still no option to sell.
really? should be an option when you select one of your ships and right click a station, might need to be a wharf or shipyard though.

people on reddit are saying you can already claim sectors, the person with the most administrative centres on stations in a system shows as the owner apparently.
Maybe there are some systems you aren't allowed to take over so a faction can already exist though.
but there are a few sectors no one owns with nothing in them it seems. even in my game that went for around 60 hours don't think anyone build in some of them

Anyone know how to sell ships? I've managed to capture a few, flown them to the nearest wharf, but I don't see any option to sell them.
hire someone to fly it and you can order them to sell it for you.
I don't think the game lets you manually sell them

To sell ships, open up the map, left click the ship you want to sell then right click a wharf/shipyard and then click sell.

Any of you still playing this?

Yep daily so far, though I am not hammering it and taking my time with everything. Partly because I want it to last as long as poss and also partly because it gives it time to get some of these bugs ironed out. Not had any of the larger bugs happen personally but don't think anyone can deny they're about!

I'm quite a big X fan so may be a little biased, but Egosoft have an excellent track record in sorting these bugs and for this reason I have confidence once the bugs are sorted and a little more content (like more ships for example) is added, I think this game is going to end up being something special.

It's been out less than a week. Yes folk are still playing it.

Egosoft have been incredibly reactive to fixing bugs and making (admitidely) small changes. Rumour has it they're toying with the 'war' settings that could dial up conflict, with a potential beta release in a couple of days. Don't see that sort of reactivness from the big players.

Rebirth was not an X3 game. It was just X Rebirth, and pretty much everyone agreed it was dull as dishwater. X4 Foundations has had a somewhat more positive reception, albeit tempered with some very legitimate criticisms.

It was extremely cool standing on your capital ship landing platform during a big fire fight though! But yes, an empty shell of a game.

I'd say both answers are correct for that question. It does have it's problems now but is still mega fun, I am loving it. When it's all patched up though, it is going to be something else imo

It also looks like one of the biggest concerns is about to be addressed too. They're calling it the war patch and should make the enemy appear a lot more, which in turn will kick start the economy. Just rumours that it's soon, but it's definitely on it's way

EDIT: Not a rumour. 1.3 is 100% confirmed this week
