XBOX Gamepass Ultimate conversion is back for £1

Back at the end of August this year there were rumours that the conversion rates (from converting core to ult etc) would change again. My Ultimate sub at the time was running out summer 2025 and I decided to not risk whatever potential worse rates would appear. I bought multiple 3months of Ultimate India at £16 each. Yes that's a lot more expensive than the old days of £70 to £80ish total for 3 years, which I managed to do twice before, but I get a lot of value out Ultimate especially with BO6 arriving this year. My new expiry is now Sept 2027 and I will let it expire and see how the conversion rates are then.

No you do not have to change your account region (either on your console or the web browser) for this. You simply visit the microsoft redeem page whilst connected to a VPN of the country you're trying to redeem codes from. Always check with a website like whatismyip dot net to make sure browser is actually in the intended country first.

OK, thanks. This is new to me as when I last attempted this using Turkey codes and failed in that effort as MS had stopped stacking for that region a few days prior to my attempt. I had also changed the MS account settings too. Roll on Jan 25 when I can attempt this again!

how recently did you try? Around end of Sept when I thought there would be conversion rate changes I also saw other people saying that MS would limit/put a stop to out of region redeeming. I haven't redeemed anything since so I don't have any personal experience one way or another. What I can say is that sometimes the microsoft redeem pages sometimes also needs to be set to the language of the country you're trying to use. This is not an account/console region change thing. Simply scrolling down to the bottom left of the page where you change the page away from english written language to indian, turkish etc. Yes that means the page will be unreadable but you can just use your browser's translation function.

Here was my post on April 14th when I attempted to redeem via Turkey.
 
Quick question without reading through hundreds of comments, our 3 years is ending in a few days.

Can you redo it or is there another deal you can do? Does it have to be on a different account or can the original one redo it?
 
Yesterday I entered a Gamepass core 1 month and got another month for subscribing. If I buy a 3 month ultimate pass, am I right in understanding I get a total of 2/3 x 2 months plus 3 months of ultimate?

Went for it anyway. Seems to have taken me to April 14th. Nice to have the entire winter period of gaming covered with a single payment.
