**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

And you know this for a fact how, exactly?

Because its tard made up at last minute to pretend that they somehow have an answer for weaker hardware.

Dev's still can't get game launched right with an on-line component, they aren't going to start trying to write cloud AI algorithms that have to deal with potentially 100ms of lag, packet loss and bandwidth charges to get through certification.

Its not happening, the tech is years away.

So the 'fee' is full retail price. MS really are doing there best to push people to the PS4 and that's what i'll be getting. MS can stick the Xbox One up there bottom.

If that turns out to be true then Sony could end the console war before it even starts by coming out and saying "you won't have to pay a fee to play used games on the PS4". It seems that MS are more interested in keeping publishers happy then the people who will be buying their console.

The new COD pales in comparison to the new Killzone. Graphics wise anyway.

Again, conjecture and opinion which isn't fact. You have no idea how many devs are going to use it, and neither do I. So, it's best to wait and see.

Well, if that is actually the case (I'm going to do some research) then maybe the Xbox will be the catalyst. I'm all for cloud computing, I'd love to be able to play more games than League of Legends on my laptop.

I expect you're right when you say they're trying to keep the publishers happy but there will be method to the madness. The publishers could end up making money from second hand sales and that would go a long way to convince them to make the XBO the lead platform for cross platform games or even sign exclusive deals.

Quote of the day for me

I was all excited until I remembered this, all my music is FLAC and all my films are MKV, maybe there will be some type of XBMC add on to help with this..

No chance, these companies just care about money

It will be another closed system. You want music, you buy it from the MICROSOFT store :D

Killzone games are hardly a great experience though, I have all three for PS3 and only got about 40 minutes in before being bored to tears.

Oh well, I have ordered one so not to miss out.
At least Im going to get one early, and if by the time of release there is still no way to play FLAC or MKV files, I can flog it on at a profit in the xmas rush..

Assuming there is massive shortages, which I doubt if Sony and MS are releasing around the same time.

I'm actually quite excited about this.

Since I switched to PC gaming the one thing I've missed is chilling on the sofa playing FIFA with friends.

I will almost certainly buy one, albeit at the expense of upgrading my PC (which should be good for a while anyway). :)
