**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Stop self jerking over yourselves about "raw power" its means little to nothing in the close details in the real world, and CERTAINLY did NOTHING to help the PS3.

What a horrendous piece of garbage that thing is.

Tv... Tv... Tv... Tv... Tv.... Sports...Sports...Sports... Tv.... Tv...

No headset bundled, have to use that kinect thing? Not happening in my house. I'm not risking any chance my little boy will hear that filth being shouted out from Xbox Live and in the evening I certainly don't want that rabble beaming out of my speakers.

Apparent the system is lower powered than the PS4 techwise, but that will be reflected in the price.

3GB OS overhead? Really MS?

If you are purely about the games, the rest of that garbage becomes irrelevant. I do not care for Kinect in the slightest.

Use to love my 360, spent the most time on it.

PS4 pre-order seems wise now.

You do know that the new controller has a digital connector at the bottom for peripherals (like a new digital headset) which will be shown later in the year

I'm stunned that people are basing their pre-order decisions (pre-ordering this early? Really?!) on best-guess information from gaming journalists who realistically, don't know anything about the core system architecture aside from the limited numbers they've already been given.

The proof will be in the games, and even then, they're both going to be a massive improvement over what our current consoles are struggling to put out.

I think you have the wrong impression of what Kinect is.

Tell me exactly how you think they are moving away from targetting 'hardcore' (whatever that means) gamers.

Emphasis on things like Kinect 2, whatever that rubbish was about being partnered with NFL, the TV aspects. Things that real gamers don't care about.

Lack of emphasis on things that gamers want such as backwards compatibility, being able to trade in/rent/buy used games.

The hardware itself seems poor, unimpressive GPU, only 500gb hard drive etc.

I could go on and I have probably missed some important points, but I have work to be getting on with :)

The power of the PS3 helped it have some great games when utilised properly. But that was also the problem, their system was difficult to develop multi-platform developers never made use of it really.

Sony listened and have corrected that this time, so based on a more generic architecture more power will or at least could be an advantage.
